Sorry..but somebody has posted a rescue transport and you are saying that, OH, I think tehy'll be adopted by then!  You could wish them best fo luck or even not post at all, I'm sorry that was rude. These dogs only have 2 days to live! :(

Sorry for that! I wish you best of luck with them! I wish I could help out, but I live 9 hours away from NY anyways! :( I hope these dogs get a FUR-ever home! :D You're doing an amazing thing, helping these dogs out!

If They've been in the shelter/rescue for a long time and only have 2 days to live, I highly doubt anyone's going to adopt them right away. I have to agree with Lexi_lover, that was a rude comment and you could've wished them some luck or something...

Good Luck with those 2! If I wasn't so far away I'd love to help but unfortunately I am:( I hope they both get a new home soon!:)

Here's the attitude that is the reason I don't post on here very often...God the ignorance.

As far as I know this is filled....I have not heard back from the coordinator, but, a friend of mine in Wauseon offered to fill the missing leg close to her and I told them to combine or split the missing leg in NY.

Thank you to all for the GENUINE support, unlike the original response to my plea.

Mugsy, that person is a newbie, don't mind the inorance. And I am sure it was ignorance - as in not knowing better, rather than lack of caring.

I always worry when we don't hear if a transport is filled. They are never anywhere me, Massachusetts seems to be an end-point more often than a through-point!

Karen,

Perhaps you could drive out a bit...that's what some in MA, RI, NH, VT, and CT do....I just am too impressed at how the people in New England keep their dogs...it's a totally different world than the Midwest and South that's for certain. Send me your contact information and I can pass it along to Quincey (my vet friend in Boston) because she's always looking for drivers everywhere. Oh, and of course I will keep it too since I send so many transports out!

That's why so many transports are headed for the East from the Midwest and South....in New England they look at you like you have 4 heads if you mention the "Big Black Dog Syndrome" because everyone there WANTS big black dogs and they die by the thousands in the Midwest and South because so many people out here are so flippin' stupid.

I'll send you my info. The few times anything was happening near me, and I volunteered, the (inevitably) last leg person here in MA decided to do the last two legs, to get the doggies themselves. I cannot say for certain I'd be available on any given weekend, but would help if needed when I could.
