We used to have a beautiful golden named Alice. She got hit by a car in front of our house a couple winters ago. I still never got over it. She was such a sweet girl, very active and yet calm. She had a litter of puppies and my friend now has her grandchild, and she looks so much like her. That's how i remember what Alice was like. Although her one puppy, Ernie who we kept for 5 years, when he was born his eye lashes grew into his eyes and she tried to eat him... :( ...but he was also deaf...he was so cute, but he was very timid...we gave him to my moms friend who was dying to have him....promised to keep him inside, but didn't. Then she gave him away without letting me know...but he is on a horse farm...and i get to go riding whenever i go to see him. Yay! I still miss Alice...it happened wheni was 7...that kinda leaves a scar...something you never forget.

I know what you mean. I posted a long time ago about my furbabe, Jewel, who was run over by a car and died in my arms. It was awful. It does leave a scar and a huge hole in your heart.
I am so sorry for your loss, and if you ever want to talk, I am available. (((((HUGS)))))
R.I.P. Alice, you are so greatly missed.

Oh, I'm so sorry about Alice!!:( That sounds so tragic..."car accidents" involving animals is always so tough!!:( I know I've never gotten over the death of my dog, Bandit, and that happened 3 1/2 years ago...he didn't get hit by a car, but he fell in a certain way that he ruined his nervous system. It was awful, and there was no gurantee he would ever get better! -sigh-:( I still cry to think about that dreadful day when I had to make the decision to put him out of his misery...it was sooo tough!:( ((hugs)) to you!

i know...she was still alive too and we took her to the vet, broken back and shattered paw...it was my brothers decision to put her down, he made the right choice. It is just hard to imagine going through life without her... :(
