I have a friend who is looking for a new home for his dog. This is the 2nd time in a year he's done this. His dog is {quote} "biting me and eating through the fence, plus I decided I'm gonna do some travelling and the dog would just be nothing more than a burden."{quote} ......
Grr!! If people are going to see their dog as nothing more than a burden, then they don't deserve to adopt a dog in the first place, much less twice. And I also told him the biting and eating through the fence was probably due to boredom as he leaves the dog out there all day.
Thanks for letting me rant!
poor dog. i hope he finds a GOOD owner soon.

Is this the second dog he has sought to give away?
As to your question, I can only think that they are very selfish
people who get animals on the "spur of the moment" to fill some
unmet need. It's sad to think they don't mean it when they agree
to provide for the dog a loving, liftetime home.:(

Yes, this is the 2nd dog. (Sorry, I realize my post may have sounded like he's trying for the 2nd time to give the dog away, but no, this is the 2nd dog in a year!)

It is a shame for the poor dogs, who don't understand what they have done wrong. I am sure it is very hard for someone like you who has taken very good care of your animals even when they were ill, to try to understand how a friend can do this. I hope the dog finds a happy, loving new home. And I hope that the next time he decides he wants a dog to pal around with he will remember the lifetime responsibilities that go along with it. :(

What a sad situation. Some people irritate us so much. We can never understand how some people can be so self centered and so insensitive to poor, helpless animals. Talking to him might be a very good idea, depending on how responsive he would be to your advice. Some people will never "get it" however. Thanks for caring so much and good luck if you decide to talk to him.

That's hideous. He should be ashamed of himself. That poor sweet dog will be better off.

Is there any way to make sure that this selfish cretin never gets to adopt anything again?
