Sequoia got a new collar the other day... and we're giving it the thumbs up! However, on our pre-dinner walk, we ran into a little trouble...

My thoughts exactly. And no one could be a better model for it than Sequoia.

By the way, had you been around more I probably would have known the answer to a question on a little test I took recently, which was...what tree has every vowel in its name?

That is an awsome collar!

I really miss seeing pics of her, she is beautiful. I have fallen in love with greyhounds :o, not that theres anything wrong with that! :)

Of course I don't know, but my guess is sort of like why some women wear bikinis.....because they have the bodies for it.

That is, a long beautiful neck can accommodate something that stylish.

From what I understand, the greyhounds have long slender necks and a regular thinner collar, if it digs in, can more easily damage their windpipe. But they also sure look nice too :)

Did Longdog Leather (works?) make that collar for Sequii? It is gorgeous and she is the perfect model for it.

Sighthounds (in general) have necks that are larger than their heads. Which makes it easier for the hound to slip or back out of a regular collar.

It's recommended that sighthounds wear what's called a Martingale collar. The thickness of the collar is used to disperse the pressure to the neck when the hound pulls.

Actually, I'd suggest a martingale for use by any breed.

I love greyhounds so much! I might get one when I get a home of my own!
