Lexi has like goggles. Well it seems like that. It wraps around her head and goes right over her 2 eyes but leaving a blaze in the middle, which looks like a deer's head!

And she has 2 big patches on her hips. They used to be black, but now one is turning a tan colour. :p

Her patches...

And her "deer head"....on the left side of the white marking is the left ear, then move over to the right ear. Then just go down a bit and you'll see the muzzle. Hope that made sense!

I chose "Other", because Murph is a solid cream color and Oz and Gull are Merles. I always describe their coats as mottled vs spotted or patched.

No markings at all since they are poodles. :) Poodles do come in parti-colors but it is not considered desirable and parti-color poodles are not bred intentionally.

Wow! I forgot a lot of markings!

I should've added breeds markings (BC, rottie, etc.)

I also forgot merle, ticking, solid, and brindle! Sorry, it was late at night when I thought of this, I was REALLY tired!

Keep on posting;)

Ripley is solid colour exept for a single teeny white tip on one foot lol Misty...er well... she is a split face, but unlike most split face BCs the rest of her marking are not Irish, she has like a black jacket on her back but her side are opposite, one is more white then black and the other is more black then white, I am not really sure how else to describe it lol Happy has mostly irish markings, but rather then a full white collar she just has a small lightning shaped streak on the back of her neck, and her blaze is so small its almost non-existent, its litteraly like a pin stripe, and she has white ticking on her face and odd legs(one is white the other is black) Perky is patched and ticked, and Blair is merle.

typical BC markings by the way are called Irish markings

Cool. Didn't know that. :)

I voted other. Lacey is black and tan, (like a Rottie or Dobie) Mandy is a solid chocolate puppy, but does have what I believe is called 'silver tipping' Some of her hair on her tail and butt is cream colored. If anyone knows what that's called, please correct me! :p

Pepper is solid black. Autumn is orange with white points. I'd like to get a tri-color hound when I get a bigger place. I'm getting tired of solids and oranges.
Pam- I just don't get why partis aren't bred as the black an white by my house is beautiful. I know its common for breeds to accept certain colours and not others but I love to see the uncommon colours. They are acepted in UKC too. http://www.partipoodleworld.com/ShowGroomingNews.htm
I think if I were ever to get a standard I'd pick a parti.

MAXIMUS is solid gold. Lighter and darker here and there. He's got what I call "swirlies" in his fur. Three on his big yummy chest, two on his tush, and weird pointy things on his elbows, that I'm always playing with. He's also getting soft white fur on his chin.
Anyway, I said, "Other."

And let's not forget his yummy wrinkled head.

My RB Shadow was a black and white pinto akita. Patches I would say would be his markings. You can see his markings here in this pic with the cats. :)

Sadie has black and white patches and some black spots on her face and legs and Maggie is just black and white patches, no spots anywhere. Grant is blue merle with a white mark on his head, called a bentley mark.

uhh... spots lol

but they have some unique ones.

Frankie has a heart on his nose. And a clown triangle above one eye. his ears are completely black except for the tips which are both white (and sooo cute)

Jillian has several large hearts all over her. when she was younger and her spots weren't all in, her spots on her left leg looked like a poodle - big and fluffy.

shes also got a little "hazardous" sign, with the 3 points, going on, on her hip right now  lol

Now Snowy is all white, but when she was a puppy the tips of her ears were beige.

Shadow - Rottie markings (and now a gray muzzle and eyebrows)

Jack - All black with white on his chest

Kyra - Mostly white, light tan on her head and a cool marking by her butt that is a bunch of lines going down her leg...hard to explain..

Micki - 2 huge Mickey Mouse heads on his back!! And a very spottie belly and a tan face with an itty bitty blaze.

Mini - Brown/black/white on one side of her face, (used to be all black when she was a baby :( ) and a huge brownish spot on her side (which also used to be jet black) and a little brown spot by her tail! Oh and a very spotty belly!
