:) Hi! What is your favourite breed of dog? Write me a five line poem about your favourite breed and why you love it so much! (No, it doesn't have to rhyme) On Saturday, March 9 I will do a tally to see what breed is the majority favourite. I will tell everyone on the 10 of March. So get cracking!:)

Welcome to Pet Talk ! I'm not much on contests but
would love to know if you are the proud guardian of
this fantastic breed of dog? If so, please tell us his/her

is one of the most incredible looking dogs ever !!!

No, unfourtonatley not. :( I simply adore them though and I am not afraid to admit that I am obsessed with them!:) I love them so much though and would probobly do anything for one.

A favorite - if I had to choose one
Of all the breeds whose love crowds my heart
Would have to be the shelter dog/the mongrel mix/ the found stray/the good old mutt
Whose looks fit no "breed standard" text, whose size and color and coat are never certain until full grown
But whose eyes, whatever color(s) they are, see straight into your soul.

My Favorite of all
likes to play ball
he makes my heart shine
he is all mine
My favorite is the Simba Mutt! ;)

Now for my real fav BREED:

My favorite loves to pull
their body is so muscular it seems full
their treated like a hated race
but i just melt when i see that face
My favorite breed is the Pit Bull!:D

Siberian Husky is my favorite
Whenever I meet one I hug it and savor it
I look at their pics on the net all the time
I want one so bad I pout and I whine
But right now I just don't have the time
To be able to call one mine

Huskies are so nice and friendly
And they love to pull things that might be handy
They like to play in the snow, but we hardly get none
I could shave some ice for it, that might be fun

So one day I'll be lookin at puppies to picka
Husky I'm gonna call Siska (really)
I'm gonna bring it home
AND SPOIL IT ROTTEN!!!!!!! :D :)

My eyes are dark brown with love shining from them
My coat long and flowing that glistens in the sun
I'm a friend when you need me. A friend if you don't
I will smile when I see you and even if you don't

I'll give you my tennis ball or my paw you can shake.
I even have things I can share that can float
I'll be there for bath time with joy in my stride
because I love anything with you by my side!
I am great with the children and the kids from the block...
And even the mailman knows that I'm a true friend!

I love to work and I love to play
but most of all I just want to please
I will be loyal to you my best friend
I'll will be loyal all the way to the end!

I guess by now you know I'm a GOLDEN!!!! :cool:

Karen, that's a beautiful poem about mutts...especially rescued mutts.
As much as I love Tibetan Spaniels & Shelties, I love the cross-breeds, too.
