I would like to pat a couple people on the back for a job well done.
1) Edwina's Secretary, a commited ONE cat person, for taking in Eddie and making it work without giving up when results were not instant.
2) Catcrazylady for dealing with Mr. Magoo's problems, even though they were horrendous, and sticking it out until they were solved.
3) Krazyaboutkats AND sasvermont, for realizing that they needed to rehome a beloved pet because their home was not the best situation for him. A VERY hard thing to admit and to carry out.
Now, we all know there are PLENTY more stories here at PT that deserve a pat on the back. Who would you like to pat on the back for a job well done, a stituation resolved, a heartfelt decision.....???

K & L for her and hubby's tireless efforts to not only help the park ferals, but the office ferals and now as many ferals as they can by getting the word out over the radio!
Missy (sirrahsim?) for realizing that rehoming Boomer is better for him than a temporary home then back to home home again, then a possibly traumatic flight back to the states and more home uncertainty while they get settled.

What a great thread Jen! Thanks for starting it!
I'd like to add everyone who was involved with Lucky and Louie (now CatFamily's Winston and Benson). It started with Dusty's People, everyone who contributed to the vet bill, Leslie for transport and ultimately Carla and Mike for giving them a wonderful home.
Craftlady for helping poor Cindy, getting her spayed and up to date on shots and then deciding to keep her after all!
Aly, for all her rescue and fostering work!
Bravo everyone!

I'd like to give a pat on my back to my husband for throwing out Loki's litterbox last night. It's the first time he's done it in several months, without me BEGGING him to ... yesterday.
And by the way, we use the little $2 litterboxes that come with litter & you just toss them when they're done. We only have 1 cat :P

Wow I think there are a lot of people who deserve pats on the back....and please forgive me if I forget someone.
1. Catnapper, Jenluckenbuck, Queen, Carla and Mike, Leslie Flenner, Catmandu and everyone else out there that foster's, rescues and cares so much for God's creatures
2. Catcrazylady, Laura's Babies and Queen and everyone else who has a kitty with a disability....as I have learned from these wonderful ladies that our kitties DON'T know what a disability is. Our kitties may be labeled "special needs" by other people, vets, etc....but we all know that they are the ones to have taught us a lesson or two.....kitties have no disability.
3. To Moosmom, sirrahsim (Missy), KAK and all others who have had to make one of the hardest decisions when it come to our "furfamily". Kudos to all of you for knowing in your heart what is best for everyone involved.
4. Most importantly to ALL OF US who have taken one, maybe two, maybe three or four.....and love each and everyone of them like they are the only ones in our lives. I know that my furkids are extra special....as does each and everyone of us here.

TO ALL TRUE PET GUARDIANS,WHO TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILTY,FOR THIER COMPANIONS,AND TAKE THE GOOD,WITH THE BAD.

AND TO KIM ENGLAND,FOR THE GOOD WORK,SHE DOES WITH HER CATS,AND MULTI CAT MOM,ALY,AND KELLY COTTE,WHO,WE ARE PRAYING FOR.
I nominate Logan who took in Bad Butter Boy when he was a homeless waif on the streets. She has put up with a lot with that boy, including blood loss! LOL! I think if Butter could type he would suggest that we give Logan a pat on the back! :)
Of course to all who work in rescue I am forever in your debt. You are the ones on the front line saving lives. Thank you!

A pat on the back to Lacey for holding onto Kahlua until a purrfect home is found for her - even though Mowgli and Zelda are not happy with her!
A pat on the back to Jazzcat, Logan, KAK, Ally Cat's Meowmie and any others who deal with aggressive cats but love them anyway until a solution is found - even if that means a new home.

I nominate Magoo's meowmee ( Catcrazylady) for working with him literally through thick and thin. Never giving up on the little (ok not so little now LOL) guy. It just proves that love and patience comes around ten fold. :)

AND A BIG PAT,ON THE BACK,FOR MY FRIEND CHRISTINE,WHOS DOG DIGBY,THE LITTLE BLACK,AND TAN 16 YEAR OLD DOG.
THE FACT,IS THAT MOST PET GUARDIANS,WOULD HESITATE,AT THIS EXPENSIVE SURGERY,FOR AN OLDER DOG,THE REMOVAL,OF HIS RIGHT EYE.
BUT CHRISTINE,NEVER HESITATED,SAYING,SIMPLY,THAT DIGBY,IS HER FRIEND,A MEMBER,OF HER FAMILY.
THAT,TO ME,IS A TRUE PET GUARDIAN.

There are so many of you people who have devoted your time and money in rescuing, fostering, nursing, caring and loving, be it a cat, dog, ferret, bird, hamster, guinea pig, fish, snake or any other animal, that deserve a BIG PAT on the back.
It is all of you who makes a difference in this world and I have the deepest respect for each and every one of you. :D

I realize that it's a GREAT BIG RETAIL CHAIN, but I'd like to commend Petsmart for the commercial that shows a family adopting an adult orangie from the in-store adoption center. Some of the cat lovers in my family suggested that adopting an adult cat might just be taking on someone else's problem, but my two adult adoptees prove that, in the immortal words of Ira Gershwin, "it ain't necessarily so."
