What a unique and pretty name you have too, and though you had an incredibly rough beginning, the tragic days in your life are over now. In January I had to put to sleep my beloved Isabella. My first rat. Bella was a rescue, like Poe. I feel that Bella sent me to rescue Poe from dying alone. I think she knew that, like her, all Poe needed was a second chance at life. I am so happy that I was the one who gave Poe that second chance. He may be the one I rescue, but I'll be the one he saves.

Precious Poe! After reading that incredibly moving tribute to you and your predecessor Bella, it's hard not to cry. What life lessons even the tiniest of creatures teach us humans. To say that animal love inspires us would be an understament! How proud dear Isabella must be, looking down from the Rainbow Bridge, seeing what love, caring and compassion her spirit has inspired!:) What an everlasting legacy of love she has left behind:) And you dear Poe have filled her paw prints admirably!:) Poe, sadly no one can turn back the clock, remove the scars such abuse and neglect inflicted upon you. But blessedly now, in the loving hands of your forever human, each and every day of your life you will know nothing but gentless, kindness and unconditinal love.
