PERMISSION TO CROSS POST WIDELY!!
Transport for 3 dogs
Wooster, OH to Mechanicsville, MD
Saturday July 23, 2005

I am in need of help with a transport for 3 dogs, all female, one is a golden mix, a shih tzu, and a schipperke. They will be going from a kill shelter (Wayne County Humane) in Wooster, OH to Pets 4 Life rescue in Mechanicsville, MD on Sunday July 17. The dogs are UTD, the dogs will be spayed, and will have collars, but no leashes. You will need to provide your own collars. The shelter volunteer suggests crates, but, the shelter does not provide them. I have built in 15 minutes on each leg for walking the dogs and transferring them from car to car.

THIS TRANSPORT WILL BE MONITORED BY THE KENDALLS

Thanks,

Molly Kendall

Laurie (lbaker) here from Gini's. I could easily do Hagerstown to Rockville but I'm in California at the BBQ and won't be back in time :( this would have been perfect for me. I live 10 minutes away from Rockville!! Hagerstown is not but an hour or so away !! Drat. Of all times I could finally be part of this and I'm over 2,000 miles away :( I'll call home and see what I can do but it's 2:30 in the morning in Maryland so it will have to wait until my son and D-in-Law are up in the morning. Very frustrating

I bet I will get lots and lots of wet sloppy kisses by the time I drop them off at their rescue! I have the last leg and will deliver them to their rescue mom. Sounds like fun!! I can't think of a better way to spend a Saturday.

I think all is set. Everyone has their meeting spots set up and vehicle descriptions. Kevin is the greatest for driving 5 1/2 hours get the dogs from OH all the way to Frederick, MD! CM...you're great for going out of your way too to deliver them!

Mugsy:

I think you're great for coordinating this great effort!! And yes, "paws in the air" for Kevin for going above and beyond for these helpless babies. Even though I foster for Adopt A Spot Dalmatian Rescue, www.adoptaspotdalrescue.com , I still keep my eyes out for anyone in need i.e. transports, home visits, shelter pulls, temp. foster, etc. My weakness is for stuck transports, you know the ones who threaten to collapse because the legs can't be filled? I am a GIANT sucker for them.

Tell me about it. Mike once offered to drive to Evansville, IN whichi is 4 1/2 hours from us to drive a Shar-pei to Valpo so that it didn't die.

No biggie, I just think of it like the Pony Express!! The transport must go on through rain, snow, ice, etc. to include bodily injuries!! Don't fret it, I don't!!
