Dear Rosie,
Meeow, you are a very petty little girl and a very lucky one too. I send your humans oodles and boodles of kittykisses because they deserve it and more. In fact, today let us all honour them with the title "most admirable humans".
Rosie, you are well on your way to being a domesticated furkid; it is simply a matter of time.
Enjoy today being Cat of the Day -- party with your siblings Emma and Charlotte, Simon and Charlie, uncle Peter, aunt Fritzi, and Momma Felix. Invite your opossum buddies Elliott, Julia, and Henry along with the racoons Desmond, Molly, Barney, and Rocky! Your human family will be pleased as punch at the party and soooooooo proud of you, our Cat of the Day.
Reign long in good health, loved and adored by your subjects which is the birthright of all felines. You are beautiful dear Rosie— Princess Royal—an excellent Cat of the Day. CATgratulations!!!
I, Sasha The Queen Calico Cat, Royal Highness, Queen of the Universe, Most Precious One known as the Sovereign who rules with a gentle but firm velvet paw does welcome Rosie of Chula Vista, California into the rarefied realm of Feline Queen-in-Training and future Mistress of the Universe.

I really enjoyed reading Rosie's story and it sounds as though you'll win the feral war with her...I want to commend you for your work with the ferals...it isn't easy and it can be very expensive. It can also be heartbreaking. But Rosie's story and the bond you are forming not only for her, but for others who see she trusts you, is a wonderful thing. We have placed many strays in loving homes and I wish you well in your efforts with the furbabies you are caring for. God bless you for your heart, and catgratulations to Rosie - she is a lovely, very deserving Cat of the Day!
Oh, and we too feed raccoons and oppossums each evening...they get cat food and marshmallows taken by hand (the raccoons only) as a treat!

Rosie's swirly black-and-white markings remind me of my Stripey, a feral I took in four years ago. It wasn't until six months ago that I could do much more than touch the tip of Stripey's tail. Now Stripe wants rubs and a purring session every time I walk by. Why she took more than 3 years making up her mind is a mystery--she's always been an elusive one. Stick it out with your beautiful, regal Rosie, she sounds about ready to adopt you as her trusted caregiver FOR LIFE! Cheers to you, Rosie, for sharing your lovely likeness on your deserved COTD.:) :)

What a beautiful tribute to a most graceful and gorgeous feline princess. Rosie you are one dazzling little girl, and so very blessed to have such loving and caring people to look after you. Your humans sound like all-around animal lovers, my kind of people! :) I really wonder what strides have been made by now, have you perhaps ventured in yet? Discovered an even cozier kingdom indoors? Perhaps your people will stop by sometime and share more about you and your siblings!
To Rosie's Mom, Thank you so very much for sharing your special girl with us. She is simply a captivating girl and I wish you all the best in your efforts with her. I also heartily applaud all you do to help out and care for these feral kitties.
Rosie, I hope today you have an especially lovely day today lounging in your soft bed and enjoying the good life! Congratulations on being our beautiful and extra special Cat of the Day!

Rosie, you remind me of my ex-feral boy, Billie the Beautiful, whose picture you see under my post. He had the "domesticated" gene, and even though he was born and lived feral for his first 8 months, he was always fascinated by people and preferred hanging around them. He is very tame now, as long as we don't make sudden moves or loud noises. He will even walk across our laps and pause on the other side for petties. He is very proud of being so brave!
You are just a stunning beauty, little Rosie! Make that move into the house very soon, and live a long, happy, healthy life there!

That's a nice photo. She has a safe place, a caring human, food, and she thinks that bed is paradise! Congratulations on being able to be so kind to the ferals. The vets and "Humane Society" here have ceased all low cost spay and neuter programs. It is hopeless, now. Good luck out there.

Rosie, your mom is working so very hard to get you inside and out of all the hazards that can occur out there to you!!! I am quite sure that this sainted person WILL win and someday we will hear that you lounge around all day long on her bed in the sunlight. I just pray that it will happen very soon!!! Mom, you will be greatly rewarded for all your efforts!!! Saint Francis smiles when he hears stories like this!!! HAPPY COTD!!!!

I hope Rosie's humans can tell me how they manage to care for so many outdoor critters without endangering their indoor critters. I have a female feline companion of 14 years who lives inside my house and a male feline friend who lives outside. I would love to know how to do a good job of taking care of my outdoor buddy if I could be sure I wouldn't transfer disease inside to my baby. He's the SWEETEST cat, but I don't think he's ever seen a vet in his life. If I trap him, I fear he'll never forgive me. What to do?
