Aren't so pearly white at the moment, so off she goes for a clean and polish next Tuesday. She also has some decay in one tooth and it must be removed. She is a good girl and healthy, aged six and a half, her last anaesthetic was when she was spayed as a kitten, so she has done well. I always worry when they have to have an anaesthetic though, and get that funny lurch in the stomach when it is time to call the vet after surgery to see how they are:( I'm sure she'll be fine, but you all know what I mean, don't you? Cleo's turn a week or two later, looks like I'll be working nights for the rest of the year;)

I know what you mean, but I am sure that they will be fine. Hope both cleanings go well. Please let us know how they do.

I know that feeling very well as Filou needs his teeth cleaned every one and a half year. Tigris only every two years but last time they had to extract one toofie:(
But after it they are happy and healthy again (and have a nicer breath) so I know Colette also will come through with flying colours:)

I picked up Colette this afternoon, her eyes were a bit out of focus  and she seemed a bit wobbly in her box. After the fresh air hit her on the way to the car, she set up a good Siamese yowling all the way home through the city traffic (and I thought I'd be in for a peaceful ride home in contrast with the morning trip:rolleyes: ). We could hear Cleo calling as we came up the stairs, perhaps she'd been calling all day, she certainly seemed pleased to hear we were home. Once inside, Cleo hissed and struck out a couple of times, "Haaahhh!!you smell funny, not like my Colette:confused: " I had been advised to keep Colette quiet and warm and try a little food later, as she had had three teeth removed and the rest cleaned. Well, resting was the last thing on her mind, she was so excited to be home she was leaping about and wanting some food, so she had a little bite of salmon and is now happily sitting here reading her messages from her well-wishers and smiling broadly at all the attention:D She would like say thank you to furrykidsmother, Barbara and jenluckenbach for your kind words and encouragement, and so would I. They are now facing each other off in front of the fire, seeing who can hiss the loudest. Cats!!

Thank you for the update. I am glad that Colette got through her cleaning OK, sorry for the loss of teeth, but at least they won't be bothering her anymore. Glad to here that she has settled down to rest a bit.

And thank you for your concern, Furrykidsmother. She's almost her old self again, and eating well. Thanks for your support:)
