Getting ready to have surgery on July 25th.... only two weeks away! Going for pre-surgical tests tomorrow, getting kind of whackd out thinking about it.
Would you all please say a little prayer for me come July 25?

Been talking to lots of women "my age" who have gone through this (hyst.) and everyone seems to be happy they did. I'm just hoping to feel better soon. My poor husband is gong to be the only one around to take care of me that first couple weeks, so maybe say a little prayer for him too! My boss was joking that maybe I could teach Star and Sherman to wait on me! It's usually the other way around, LOL! Anyway, thanks.

My mom felt the same way before she had hers but now she's doing great, and I'm sure you will too!
I'll be saying a prayer for you (and your husband too;)).

Prayers for a speedy and problem free recovery! I'm all for feeling better and doing what's necessary! It's so wonderful that surgery techniques have changed so drastically, compared to what our mothers or grandmothers endured. Will you have a lapraoscopy? Hey! Like I told Kelly, milk all the attention you can get! I'm still healing and am expected to figure out what's for dinner-not. The docs thought I needed a hyst. in my early 30's, but I didn't, so you aren't too young. We women sure have to endure so much crap. My Logan still realizes I'm not myself yet after my surgery, and is the sweetest, most gentle little girl! I'm sure your crew will take excellent care of you and smother their mommy with licks and love! Healthy blessings to you!

Been there, done that. My problem was fibroids - big ones - family history of them.

Day after surger was not good, but every day after that was definitely better. Really glad I had it done. Didn't really realize how bad it was until I didn't have it anymore.

You have my best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a very speedy recovery.

Had pre-surgery tests today, and now I'll have to have an additional test 3 days before surgery to determine if I need a second procedure :( :( :( not sure I like this... I got so stressed out talking to her (my Dr.) today that I started to cry - God, I'm SUCH a wimp!

Oh honey, you aren't a wimp! Surgery is scary for everyone.

(((((hugs))))) to help you feel better today.

Prayers for your surgery. That it'll go well and that only ONE surgery is needed.

Take care,
Kelly :)

Hey, welcome to the club! You can tell me how it goes as I've got one coming up also. Good luck. I'm sure you'll do fine. Try not to be nervous(she says as she, herself, is nervous, too) I hope you recover quickly. We can be miserable together. Mine is just about a week after yours.

I was 35 when I had mine and you bet you will feel tons better!! You won't regret it, believe me~
I hope it all goes well..just do what the doc tells ya~

Best advice...carry a pillow around with you for that first week...its a BIG help...cuz it hurts to laugh, cough, sneeze or breath for a few days..I had the same type as you...the old fashioned way..
