This was a woman who semingly had it all. Graduated from a
exclusive private school (high school) and a college graduate.
Seemingly great family upbringing & she does this horrible
thing. How could she not see any alternatives? This just floors
me. So very sad. Her life is ruined & a child is lost.:(

I really don't understand what can be in people warped and twisted brains sometimes. She doesn't need to be hospitilized she needs to be shot. She was obviously in her right mind as she had presenses of mind to clean the stall in hopes she wouldn't get caught. Obviously she is just a sick B&%$H

That is so sad.:( Why, in the world could she had not given the baby up for adoption instead of doing that. It just makes me sad people like this can have kids and don't want them, and there are other woman out there can't have babies and really would love have one.

I suppose it's wrong to assume she would trust her family
to help her. Can't understand this at all though, this is an attrative, intelligent young woman with seeming tons of
resources available to her. I just wonder why she didn't talk
to any friends or family?

Isn't there some kind of program where any woman who gives birth and doesn't want the baby, can drop it off at a hospital emergency room, church or whatever, no questions asked???
Poor kid! From the time he took his first breath, he never had a chance. Shame on his mother!!

Donna, that is the law in only some states, and some counties of other states. It is the law in Massachusetts, I do not know about Indiana.

It is amazing how much even the most educated and seemingly level headed woman can panic over having a child. Who knows what her family said about her having a child, who knows what kind of situation resulted in the pregnancy...there are a lot of unknown factors at work. Of course, none of them excuse this terrible act.
Im not so much angry at the woman as I am sad for her.

That is one of the most intelligent comments I've read from any
news accounts on this & it expresses what I'm trying to make
sense of. It's very hard to explain human emotions, but it seems
to me she had no trust at all in her parents & family. I also am
very sad for her and her child.
