Golden retriever's continuos behaviour

My golden retriever is always looking thru the garbage in the back yard and me and my sister has 2 clean it up.

My other problem is when my dog is hungry, she licks my feet then starts whining.

Im not sure if all of these are normal. Any ideas? :confused:

For the garbage, do you have a safety lid on it that doesn't come off when she tips it over? That might help a bit.

For the feet, she may just do that because thats how she can get attention, because thats where you're ticklish and so on. The whining is natural, every dog will do that. :p

I suggest getting a garbage can with a lid so that she can not get into it.

I also reccomend you enroll her into a reputable obedience class which will help with a lot of training & bonding. They can teach you the leave it command. (I'll try to post more when I get more time).
