Abby barely lets me get any water in the tub before she diceides it's time to get in there!! The minute she hears water running she comes snooping, whether it's meant for her or not & should I decide I'd like a soothing soak in the tub myself, she's not amused, lol she thinks the tub is for her only! Isabel loves baths, too. She and I started taking bubble baths together early on. When I'm in a hurry she gets in the shower with me. I don't think she has ever had a bath alone.

Now the kitten is starting to get in with me. LOL We're getting a tub full.

That is so funny! Duke doesn't like them until after he's clean. Then, he runs like crazy. Before the bath, I get the pitiful eyes and he starts shaking all over.

Peej hates his baths so much that I quit giving them to him. He goes to the groomer and has for the last 5 years.

Bailey will run and hide if she heard the bath water running. It doesn't even matter if it's for her! :rolleyes:

My three don't like them, but will tolerate them.

Simba knows the command "Get in the tub", and he'll walk with his tail between his legs all the way down the hall and hop into the tub. All three are very good about staying during baths and with let you.

I think it's a love/hate relationship because they love when I rub them down with the shampoo and conditioner. Afterwards, they get all insane and start playing pulling all of the toys out and having a big play hour. I think most dogs are normally like that after baths, however.


It's weird that Kiara doesn't like her bath as she's insane over the pool, the beach, and any other water in general. :p

That is so cute. I had never heard of a dog that likes baths before, either. Ginger will tolerate a bath, but that is all.

mine tolerate them, but they don like them lol they hop in the tub whenever I ask and they will stay put..usually. Mistys last bath my friend walked in the door in the middle of her shampoo, she leapt out of the tub and ran to my friend then into her kennel, totally covered in shampoo lol that however in an unusual case :eek:

Jack LOVES baths and if he hears the tub/shower running he hops right in! The rest will tolerate it, Shadow hates water in general and won't even go outside if she has to walk by the hose :p !

Lady HATES baths. All I have to do is take her collar off and if I don't have a firm hand on her we have a disappearing dog. Hard for a 70 lb dog to hide, but she tries like heck.

This makes it fun when she gets to engage in her favorite pasttime.......chasing skunks. Thankfully we haven't seen any around our new house. Where we used to live she'd tangle with skunks at least twice a year.

Gracie doesn't mind a bath but she LOVES to be dried with the blow dryer..even if I am drying MY hair she sits in my lap so she can get some of it..

Autumn would rather not and will put up a fight to the bathroom door, then she jumps in the tub on her own and puts up with it. I know she loves when I massage the shampoo into her back and she loves to be dried off with the towel.
I'm trying to find a good smelling, cheaper shampoo right now. I use that Hartz living botanicals which leaves a very healthy looking and feeling coat but I was disappointed to find that the great smell rinses off when you rinse the dog. I'll never buy that again as I don't wash my dog for a healthy coat I wash her for a good smell, she already has a healthy coat.

Jesse LOVES her bath! I think she perpously gets dirty for them!! Sammy on the other hand hides and you can't find her! I have had to wait a couple of days after her bath before she will let me even touch her!!! LOL!:D:D

Nebo tolerates it well. He'll just stand there and be a good boy (except he likes to shake water/soap in my face!). Reggie hates it but he will still jump in the tub if I ask....he won't hold still during a bath though. Sydney doesn't like them and will just sit there if I ask her to go near the tub. She's really good for baths though.

WInston and Tia hate baths, Tia used to like them when she was a pup but once she turned about 8 months old she didn't really seem to love them too much. I'm not sure if Tango likes baths or not, they do calm her down though sometimes up to the point where she's almost falling asleep.

Katie tolerates it. She is very good about getting in the tub and being still. You can tell it is not her favorite thing though. Tori doesn't like it at all. The easiest way for me to bathe Tori is to take a shower with her..lol. They both go to the groomer now, which reminds me that I need to make an appt. We do have a self doggie wash in town now and I want to go and try that out. It would be so much nicer to have the mess somewhere else instead of in my bathroom ;)

neither of my dogs actually LIKE to get baths but they do know that they have to so they don't put up a fight either.
Raustyk does love to get towel dried!
