"Burning with fear and panic" That is way our country is reacting according to those who are behind the London bombings

And this is what our Prime Minister has to say
"When they try to intimidate us, we will not be intimidated, when they seek to change our country, our way of life by these methods, we will not be changed.

When they try to divide our people or weaken our resolve, we will not be divided and our resolve will hold firm.

We will show by our spirit and dignity and by a quiet and true strength that there is in the British people, that our values will long outlast theirs.

The purpose of terrorism is just that, it is to terrorise people and we will not be terrorised. "

Yea right, idiot terrorists!!! My initial reaction to how WELL the Brittish have handled this was of admiration.

I'm PROUD that my family comes from such a STRONG and DIGNIFIED nation!!!

Idiots...its the same mentality that feels its OK to kill innocent people for THEIR religious beliefs.

How these jerks think that thier acts of violence makes people "burn with fear and panic" is a mystery to me. Don't they see, instead of tearing the world apart they are just bringing the world together against them!

My respect for Tony Blair has gone up today. I admire him for standing strong and telling his people to stand strong. Terrorists will never win!

Well said, Carol, couldn't have expressed it better myself.

Chris,

I was thinking of you when I heard.
Thanks for checking in, and I agree wholeheartedly. London handled this incredibly well.

Chris,

I think not too. If hundreds of Nazi bombers who bombed
London for weeks on end during WW11 didn't crush the spirit
of the UK, then these evil cowards won't either.

I heard Mr. Blair's words on our radio tonight on the way home. I thought of the response I heard in college when we wanted to indicate solidarity with the speaker...

RIGHT ON, BROTHER!

P.S. I think it's time to plan another trip to London...

Beautifully spoken by Tony Blair. I have so much admiration for him. He was also one of the few that stood beside us after 911.

These are my exact thoughts as well.

Well done, England. These people do not have a clue of what we are made of - but the word "fear" doesn't enter the picture.

These people are the stuff that you find on the bottom of your shoes after a walk through the dog park!

The terrorists that think that Britain can be intimidated by them don't know beans about history! "now you just made us mad!" Hats off to the British EMS services for doing a great job getting everything squared away in time for today's commute!

I also thought Tony Blair spoke beautifully as always.
I always think of the English
as strong, close friends and a witty sense of humor.
It's the terrorists who are cowards.

I think they have read the British people very wrongly if they think this event will turn us against our government.

This cowardly act was supposed to terrorize and disrupt the British government and the people of Great Britain. All that it has done is to bring the people of Great Britain (and the rest of the world) closer together with a resolve to fight terrorism even more.

I know this is of little comparison but NZ experienced its own form of terrorism 20 years ago when the French Agents bombed the Rainbow warrior ship in Auckland Harbour (a greenpeace ship) in 1985, a ship which campaigned and the new one does today for peace and a green world., one person lost his life, although this incident is nothing compared to 9/11 and the present London Bombings, it still is a terrible thing to have happened and just shows you it can happen anywhere, anytime.

We can only unite together against any form of terrorism and bring these cowards to justice.

I remember that. :( I also remember the IRA bombings that happened here in the UK. I firmly believe that any act of terrorism, any killing of the innocent, for whatever reason and however many die, one or hundreds, is never, ever, acceptable or justified.

Great Britain is not called "Great" without reason. They survived the Blitz, the IRA bombings and now this with extraordinary dignity and courage. No psycopaths of any denomination are going to change that spirit. Every hour is "their finest our."
I haven't been able to take this off my mind since it happened.
My thoughts and prayers go to the people of my much beloved London.
