I just wanted to post this. There is a regular at our local dog park with a basset mix, Lulu. She rescued the dog at 5 months old and took her home. Lulu bit every time a hand came near her. She was aggressive about food, not houseroken, very wild, and a barker. Her owner though many times about sending her back or putting her to sleep, but her mother told her to be patient and work with her a little each day. Now Lulu is 14 months old and well behaved. It would take some convincing to get somebody to beieve how bad this dog was. For all of you who are about to give up after the first try, don't, this dog is living evidence that patience pays off.

Thank you for sharing that story :). You are right too, I've heard and read some amazing turnaround stories. It just takes patience, work, love, and consistency.
