Hi Friends,
I took the Pudilator in to get her sutures removed today and she was almost her old self. The vet tech picked her up to take her in the back room to remove them and the foolish woman put her face too close to Puddy. I started to say "Did you read what's written on her chart?" (NOT PEOPLE FRIENDLY; A PISTOL ) but it was too late. Puddy took a swing. She missed but I couldn't help laughing. That was the sign I was looking for. :) I could hear her in the back room just carrying on something fierce and Dr. Lee came back and said "I feel for ya." That made me laugh, too. I said "I know how to handle her." He said "That's good because you've got some meds to give her. Do you want pills or liquid?" I do better w/liquid where Pud is concerned except that Prednisolone tastes bad. If it tastes as bad as it smells, it smells like BO. Ugh! When I put her back in the carrier, I said "Are you mad at me?" and I started to give her head scritchies and she hissed and swatted at me. Beautiful! Made my day! And the best news is that Dr. Lee said that she's doing so well that I don't have to start her on SQ fluids right now. He said that at some point he knows I will but not now.
So, once again, prayer , my PT family, and a really intuitive and skilled vet saved the day. And my Puddy. And I am indeed grateful.
Blessings,
Mary
