Hello everyone.
I hope that all of your days are going better than mine.
My dog died and my cat misses the dog. Pepi, my cat, and my old dog Shelby have always been good friends. My cat has been looking everywhere for Shelby, in her dog house, and all around the yard. Pepi has been pretty sad latly. I've been really sad too. I miss my old girl. My pigeons, however, have infested the garage and Shelby used to bark and help me get them out.

:(
My pigeons are having no fear about going anywhere they want to go, and the cat does not bother them. It's been really sad around here lately.:( :(

Welcome to PT.
I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Shelby. may she be happy, healthy & whole again at the bridge, barking at all the pigeons up there.

Sending good thoughts to Pepi & you.

Thanks guys, we're planning on starting over with a new dog, but the pigeons won't like it because it will probably be a lot more energetic then old Shelby was. And Pepi will probably hide for awile. .......sigh........ Oh, well. Shelby is in better place, and she's not suffering, but it's sad for me, because I'll be walking around the back yard, and I can swear that I see her out of the corner of my eye, and when I turn to look, she's gone.....:( I sure wish there was a sadder face than this, and that would discribe how I'm feeling. This is the face I made up, with tears going down it's face. :=( Today, I just knew I heard her, her collor jingling, and when I told my dad, he said that he thought he heard her too.:(

Maybe she's there waiting to approve a new dog. "When our pets must go, they are not doing so to leave a hole in our hearts, they are moving aside so that we can open our hearts to an animal in need of our love." I know it hurts to think about a new dog and to realize the Shelby isn't coming back but I believe this quote 100%.
