They usually get one a day because we have to take all them on a walk seperately. If not, they have a big yard to play in to get the exercise :)

Beenie usually gets two. One to the bank in the morning (about 20 min.) and one after work (35 min.).
If it's raining we don't go though.... she doesn't like getting her footies wet..... but we make it chasing each other around the office (when noone is here) or at the house!

I "walk" the girls to the park that is 3 blocks away and let them run till they are tired, I dont do this everyday though, I usually take em out in the back yard and play frisbee or play fetch or play with the hose. currently though they are still tired from the herding clinic lol and after seeing Misty THAT ired, I dont want her to be that tired all the time lol she is usually the dog that keep the smile on my face, but when she is exuasted all she wants to do is sleep and I dont get to see that big Misty grin and fun attitude I miss it :(

Rosoe is pretty fresh from the shelter, so he still tires out easily. He usually gets one a day, and I am hoping to build him up to two. Don't want to overdo it!

Since it's been so hot, I've limited mine to one. When it cools down, they can go on two walks a day. :)

At least one, but, usually two. He's on bed rest now, though. So, we don't go as far, and, we definitely can't go near the lake, it's too much of a tease! ;)

Mine usually get one walk each a day, I'd take them more often but since they go at seperate times I get 3 walks daily and if I took them twice a day then I'd have to go for 6 walks. I play with them in the yard for about an hour or 2 each day also or we jsut go to the dog park too, so they get plenty of excersize.

I said 0-1 because Annabelle is such a pudge that she can't walk for very long. She has the smushed in face too so she has breathing problems so she can't go on medium to long walks. Very short walks are ok though.;)

I voted 0-1 but it should be 1-2.

Hey dog folks, how many walks does your dog get per day? Has it changed as he or she got older?

Towser always gets an AM and PM walk/jog (weather permitted). When I am off work for the day he gets an extra one after school and work traffic clears out in the morning.

Sala (technically mom's dog) is an incredibly lazy little bum who would rather not venture outdoors the majority of the time. :p I still encourage her to take a little stroll around the block with me every other day.

Wolfy, my new boy, takes me for numerous walks per day, ranging anywhere between 15 minutes and a half hour each time. In the morning from when we get up around 6 a.m. and till noon, it's usually 4, and between noon and 8 p.m. it's between 4 and 6. I said I needed the exercise, and I'm really getting it now. We walk the 2 acre property here. Of course all of these walks, is weather permitting. :p

I don't walk my dogs. Too many dogs and wildlife around where I live. (one morning I happened upon a coyote while out walking!)
I do have a huge fenced in yard though and get the dogs out for plenty of exercise.

Annette you can't drive them to somewhere safe for a walk every now and then? Or just go for a drive in general for a change of scenery.

I am in a similar predicament here, too many lose dogs to be able to relax and just wander over to the park anymore. Mine get at least one big walk in my favourite forest once a week. The whole state is on severe weather warning today so we might not be able to go :(.

They also get a lot of play in the yard, and various training & classes to go to every week.

Rhi, have you heard of the Canine Circovirus? My dogs aren't going anywhere walking where other dogs may have been. It's now been reported in Michigan killing dogs after killing dogs in Ohio, where I live and not far from where I live. :(
