I was watching TV tonight and happened to catch a gentleman, dressed in shorts, tank top and running shoes, lined up on a track waiting for the starting gun to go off.
The gun sounded and the commentator began to describe the 'race'. The man arms pumped and pumped, he picked up speed and he motored down the track toward the finish line.
Toward the end you could see him straining.....but he passed the finish line in 22.02 seconds...
A new world record for athletes in the 95 to 100 age group.
The old world record was 24 seconds!!!
A great story....amd not bad for a 95 year old kid.
:D
