My mother got a little calico girl today, and she named her Peggy. She was born on April 16 at my cousins house (outdoors, but with human contact), and today she moved into her new home. My mother and her fiancé live in the forest (they have a restaurant (http://www.tillyschanze.de/index2.html)), and already have one cat, Dino, who has the woods as his territory. But my mother had never a cat of her own, and that's why she decided to get baby Peggy.
Of course I showed up soon after she arrived, and spent the entire afternoon with her. My mother was busy in the restaurant, and I didn't want the baby to be alone on her first day in her new home. Besides, she starts crying when she's alone, and she's not supposed to go outside before she's accustomed to her new home. We bonded immediately, and I think she thought I was her new meowmie. She cuddled with me, came running when I called her, and she's a real purring machine! :) My cousin says she's a wild one, but today in her new home, she was cautious and slept a lot. I guess all the new impressions made her feel tired and exhausted.
Here she is: :)

But I have to admit that I'm also a bit worried. You know, I had these arguments with Reinhold (my mom's fiancé) in the past about the way to treat cats (about punishment and stuff, and I had a few words with him today, and it seems he has learned his lesson after our last argument a while ago), I'm also worrying about their two resident pets, Dino the Meano and Rocky, the Rottweiler. Both of them are extremely jealous, and Rocky has once killed accidently a kitten when he was playing with him. And Dino, who is such a loner, once acted extremely aggressive towards Luna when I had her with me when I was seeing my mom. My mother hopes that he will be more tolerant now as Peggy is still a kitten. And Rocky is on good terms with Dino for years, she she hopes there are no problems with him, either. They have agreed with my cousin that Peggy can go back home just in case it wouldn't work with Rocky and Dino, but I hope this won't happen. It's not only that my mother is so in love with littly Peggy; after seeing the kitten and spending time with her, I feel very protective about her and just want to keep any kind of danger away from her.
So please, may I ask for some positive thoughts and vibes for little Peggy?
Thanks, Kirsten
