On the rescue site we got our dog Mickey from it said Border Collie. He sure acts like one. On the papers the shelters later created, they put down "Border Collie X". Our first vet said Border Collie x Sheltie. Our new one says purebred Border Collie. What do YOU think?

Looks like a rough collie to me but the size of a border collie.

I'd say border collie mixed with sheltie or collie. He's about the size of a BC but his face & hair resemble a collie ro sheltie more so than a bc.
He is a cutie thats for sure!!

Mickey is beautiful! Welcome to PT! I think Mickey looks like a border collie/collie cross. I also have a border collie named Blaze! (and I love them SO much!!):D

check this page, to me it could be a true border collie but in fact his muzzle is a bit longer as those of collies, but it could be a nosy border who knows.

Mickey probably has a sheltie/collie ancestor, but definitely has more border collie in him.

This might sound stupid but from the first photo I think he look like a shorter version of a suluki? (sp)

I wonder if you were thinking of Borzoi instead of Saluki :confused:

ther is obviously border collie in the dog, while it could be purbred as BCs can look like pretty much everything, I think the dog is more likley to be a border collie/collie mix, they are pretty common.

I have BCs too lol Happy and Misty, both in my siggie, and both are purebred BCs

I highly doubt he's a Borzoi.

I think that he is either a BC purebred, or a BC/Collie mix
