Two kittens, one 8 weeks(boy), One @10 weeks(girl). When we brouight him home tonight, she almost immediatley started to, what looked like, beat the the livin' crap out of him. Is this normal , I mean, shes got him cornered behind the toilet. He's pinned up against the litter box and won't fight back.Is she big enough to cause any real damage or does he just have get use to it?I suppose he'll get big enough soon enough to return the favor. Anybody have any thoughts?

What a cute picture! :) They're so sweet as kittens, with an evil/mischevious side as well. :) We have 4 cats, and for the most part, they get along - none are littermates, but they're all pretty close in age.

Some cats are just domineering - they can be bullies. We have 2 boys and 2 girls. The boys, Bailey (will be 3 this Sept) & Leo (will be 3 this July), are 16 lbs, 3 oz, and 17 lbs, and the girls, Leila (will be 3 in Nov) & Claudia (will be 2, supposedly - I still think she's younger than that, at the end of this month), are 8 lbs, 7 oz, and 8.05 lbs. Bailey was the only one we've raised from kittenhood - from his days of being sickly, only 1.5 lbs and 4-6 weeks old. Leila we adopted at 5 months, Leo at 1-2 years old, and Claudia at supposedly close to 1 year old.

So, Bailey & Leila had seniority over the other 2 b/c we had them both for a year before adopting the other 2 in April and June of last year. Leila has always been the domineering, mean cat. She's tiny. However, she's fast, can do amazing jumps and tricks, and super mean when she wants to be. The others have all been scared of her on occasion.

She especially picks on Leo, because I think she knows he's the one that is most afraid of her, when he is 2 times her size!! He cowers if she comes after him, whereas Bailey & Claudia always fight back, or at least try to. Leo has tried to swat at Leila before, but she always messes with him or swats/bites him if she's mad about something, b/c she knows he's so sweet he doesn't really fight back.

So, I don't know if your male kitten will start to fight back against the meaner female kitten or not - I have heard that some females are just like that with males - extra mean. Good luck, and have fun raising them, though. :) Even if kitties fight, they still live together, snuggle, and play together very nicely. As mean as Leila is to Leo and to the others, she has snuggled and slept with all of them too. It's a split personality with her, I think.
