I am in the middle of the book, Eragon, and I am LOVING it!!! I think it's one of the best books ever!!!:D Has anyone here read it? (I'm sure you guys have!) It's written by a 15-yr-old, and there's 2 more books of the trilogy still to come out! I love it, 'cause it's about dragons, magic and fantasy...exactly my thing! But wow, I'm just buzzing through it, and I can't put it down!:)

I really liked it too. :) I read it in 6th grade. I've heard that it's going to be a trilogy and possibly a movie, too.

My son and I both love Fantasy / SciFi, and we have both read and loved Eragon. we are 3rd on a waiting list from our library as soon as they get their copy of Eldest - but I'm thinking of buying it.
If you all liked this dragon story - have any of you read the Dragonriders of Pern series by Anne McCaffrey? Classic dragon stories!
or if you like magic,
the Abhorson, Sabriel and Lirael? a magic trilogy? ( can't remember the author.) also VERY good.
if you liked 'Eragon', any of the above might 'occupy' you pleasantly while waiting for 'Eldest' to show up!?

I cannot believe the book was written by a 15 year old! That is amazing!

Thanks! LOL! I'm looking forward to reading it, I totally ZIP through books so it shouldn't be too long...
Dancer is so far really good. I'll post what it says on the back of the book! :)
Hilary James ('Mousie') is just sixteen when she wins The Fuller Trophy as the Royal Winter Fair jumping with her horse, Dancer. Her triumph is rewarded with an invitation to perform in England for Queen Elizabeth, but she has also attracted unwanted attetion of teh nefarious Samuel Owens who schemes to acquire Dancer for his niece, Sara. Rebuffled in his first attempt to buy the horse, Owens instructs his hired man, Chad Smith, to try to still it. Mousie has a dream which a beautiful blond horsewoman warns her of impending danger.
'Dancer, has the adventure story of a girl and her horse, began as a dream a number of years ago while [author] Shelley Peterson was in Prague, Czechoslovakia. One night she awoke from a vivid dream of a girl and her horse. Most of us would wake up and forget it. Not Shelley. She wrote it down. And then she wrote some more and then more.' Lian Goodall, In the Hills
'Dancer is an enjoyable and exciting page-turner which emcompasses every horse-loving teenage girl's dream: success in the show ring with a magnificent stallion, a puzzling mystery, and even a handsome love interest. This book is sure to delight and intrigue any reader.' Susan Jane Anstey, publisher. Horse Sport Magazine
LOL, That was LOTS of writing!
