can anyone help.i have just got a 2 yr old long haired cat as a friend for mu other cat.The problem is the hair EVERYWHERE.Ive had long haired cats before but never this bad,its in my drinks,food,on my clothes,in my mouth etc.I brush the cat about 3-4 times a day to get rid of any coming out but it isnt helping.Ive never seen anything like it and i love him to bits,i need to sort it out.I have also been sneezing loads since i got him and im wondering if it could be because of the hair.Any tips would help greatly :confused:

My suggestion would be too vaccumm a lot more, maybe that would help a bit. Good luck, and welcome to pet talk!:)

You will get more responses in cat general, if you want to repost your situation there. Vacuuming constantly is just one of the "joys" of having pets that shed. I have to vacuum every day with Finn, especially right now, he sheds like crazy! And, I have had multiple cats before, and, did the same thing. Brushing them every single day, even if it's just for a couple of minutes, will cut back on a lot of the shedding. Even if you just get one of those mits that goes over your hand, every little bit helps. I think grooming daily is your best bet, though, really.
