Eatting yard goodies

Yeah so Josie has started to eat dog poo again....She only does this to Zeke's.....I read somewhere that putting pineapple intheir food keeps them from eatting it??? Is this true...?? I also know I can put something gross on it...but if there is some way I don't have to go out and clean it/put stuff on it once or twice a day (I don't always have time) then that would be good?

Really, it should just be picked up. Doggie poop (and other carnivores' feces) are bad for the environment.
We pick ours up everyday and put it in one of these:

This was a part of my Ecology project and we go it for free. We did a whole lesson on water quality and how pet feces effect it.

But like I said, I unfortunatly can't do it everyday. I do it as often as I can. Also, even if I could/can do it daily, I wouldn't be able to do it the minute the do it..so I still have the problem of her eatting it

Here's what I did to help break the habit in Tasha (who particularly seemed attracted to frozen poopsicles in the winter :o). It's impossible to keep it picked up immediately here in the winter when it's -30 F with blizzards howling in :p.

Anyway, here's what I did with Tash. I started out working on her recall, giving her cheese and hotdog treats every time she came when I called until that association was firmly built up. Then when she pottied, as soon as she got done I'd call her to me immediately (making sure I always had cheese or hotdog treats ready for when she came) and of course praise her tons. After awhile I didn't even have to call her anymore. She'd potty, turn and run for me. It created a new habit and then I phased treats out but still call her off and on and treat to reinforce it.

Ideally, after she's been called and treated, you should try your best to clean the poop up before she remembers and goes back to it. At least try to do that until her habit is broken and she doesn't think about eating it anymore and then you can probably relax a little on that.

When I was working with Tash, it was mid winter and we had over a foot of snow on the ground, so I knew when I saw her start digging in the snow she was mining for poopsicles. I'd call her to me then and treat her. But of course I couldn't wade out and dig around and find them like she did, so I just tried to call and treat every time I saw her doing that.
