Why is it so bad? I sure hope it makes people think twice before they go out and get a rabbit.
I sure wish I would have seen something like that about ferrets before I got my two guys. Of course I love them, but I just don't think I can handle them sometimes. I wish someone would have REALLY told me the truth about them, I probably would not have gotten them. If I knew how hard it would be to keep up with a ferret, and that I would have to watch them literally like a two year old when they were out of their cages, I just don't know that I would have them today.

Well Tiah, it may make people think twice before buying a rabbit, but this person obviously is stating their opinion on rabbits as pets. I would never say that rabbits were boring, destructive, etc. to someone who was looking into them. Rabbits only get this way when they are ignored and are never handled. Freckles is exactly the opposite. He loves to be handled, loves to cuddle, and is full of personality.

i think some of that site has some very "blunt" advise..
But The way he talks about the animal makes me think he neglected the rabbits...

I agree. he must have to make them act like that and to develop that stereotype on them.

I can't beleive some one was so stupid. First after 4 years of "experamenting" (what a dork) he doesn't even know rabbits have kits not pups. I stopped there decided I didn't need this stress in my life. Who calls pets experaments any way?

Yup. Sounds like someone who should not have been a bunny owner. Yes, they're a lot of work - so is ANY pet to keep it properly! Miss Hoppy is letterbox trained, a House Rabbit, does not "leave pellets everywhere" and doesn;t do a lot of the things he blamed his poor bored bunnies for doing. And she's now 8 years old, happy and healthy, too.

My bunnies are just the best little ones. They keep the stress off my shoulders and make me just so happy to be able to come home and spend time with them:) My Buns are litterbox trained, aren't "destructive" and don't do stuff that I would blame on them. If they did anything, it would pretty much be my fault for not watching them!!
If you are looking into getting a rabbit DEFFINATELY DON'T GO TO THAT ONE! Go to this one, it's mine...Tell me what ya think. My Rabbit site, very Informative and Fun! (http://groups.msn.com/RabbitsrAbBiTsMOREraBBitS)

I stopped at the "rabbits poop and pee everywhere even if you guve them a litterbox" because Oslo has been poopind and peeing in his box from the day I put him in the cage, I think he neglected them too.
