Okay so a long time ago I posted that I was getting a new rat cage I had ordered one from Martins and they said they were on backorder for a really long time. So after a while I got fed up and cancelled it and found a carpenter to make me one I designed and made my own. So okay this was a really really long time ago. These people have been taking forever. Sometimes they answer my emails sometimes they don't. Well today I got fed up I have already gave them half the money and they haven't even sent me a picture of what the cage looks like they say they don't have a camera anymore.. Okay whatever I just want it done. So then they email me and tell me the cage will be done in two weeks I get all excited and chill a bit cuz I've been so upset at how long its been. about 2 and a half weeks later they email me and say their house was broken in to and their tools were stolen and the cage was damaged. Okay sorry about your tools don't worry about it and so on is what I say. So a few weeks later I email them and ask them if they are putting a tray on the bottom I had asked for this or at least some plexi glass so the urine doesn't soak into the wood. The woman emails me back and says yes they are then a few days later the man emails and says no he;s putting water resistant paint on.... :mad: Okay whatever I just need the cage DONE!! Then about a week later I remember about the plexi glass and ask if they could at least put some of that down so it doesn't ruin the wood.... No reply back.... So today I email them a little ticked off saying if they don't wanna finish they cage or can't just give me my money back if not at least let me know whats going on. So I get this email back sorry we're having family problems they cage should be done this week!!!!! I write back okay thanks I was getting worried cuz you haven't been returning my emails sorry about the family problems I'm having them also...

So now what?????? I need this cage and I am so stressed with other things. They are a really nice couple and I really apreciate that they are doing this for me, but common' anyone would get a little upset by now. What would you all do??

Personally, I would've demanded my money back and gone elsewhere to buy a cage weeks ago.

You've got more patience than I do.

What they're doing is unprofessional. So what if they're a "nice couple"? They need to show a little bit of responsibility and actually DELIVER a product they are being paid for. Family problems is just an excuse.

I also have to agree with ILoveReptiles. Maybe you could call them? Tell them they have ___ amount of time to finish your cage, and if not you want your money back. Hope it works out!

I also have to agree with ILoveReptiles. Maybe you could call them? Tell them they have ___ amount of time to finish your cage, and if not you want your money back. Hope it works out!

This is what I was gonna do, but then I thought they'd throw some crap together and call it a cage. I might try it after this week though if it isn't done. Thanks for the input.

the break in and family troubles sound like lies to me. You should demand your money back and find someone who really knows what their doing. I'm sorry but thats just no way to treat your customers.
