I want to thank and let all of you who care so much. Merlin had to pass on to the rainbow bridge this morning. His heart ,cancer and the stress the last few weeks were just to much . The vet and I felt it was better to let him go on a fairly good day, we sat on a nice grassy part of the vets lawn and I held him. He should be back home in a week I plan to find a nice container for him and make a shadow box with his papers and favorite toy and pic.

Thank you all . I have been saving his fur for a year now knowing this day would arrive . I still have to figure out what I'm going to make from it. But that will be a while.
I know this is shocking for you all as I haven't talked much about how sick he has been . Just the way I am all of you asking for somany prayers with things that could be cured and his couldn't be I just felt like it would have been a burden for you all . I do thank you for all the kind things now as I send the next while cring off and on. You are all great. Thanks.
Robilee your gift made the last couple of days wonderful for Merlin he ate all the treats and snuggled with all the stuffies. Thanks for making his last week so pleasant. you will never know how much it helped.

Corinna, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Having had to make the decision last week to let Oreo go, I know what you are feeling. It is so sad to let them go. Oreo was having a good day they day we put her down after a very bad day the day before. In my heart, I know it was the right thing for her but it didn't make it any easier for us. Oh no! I am so saddened by this news. I keep thinking this can't be. I just saw pics of Merlin with my gift package. Ohhh, I'm so sorry Corinna. I'm so thankful that I got my package to Merlin in time. I only wish I had gotten it there sooner. I just don't know what to say:(

Kay thanks for the cross posting. Merlin had nbeen ill most of his 8 1/2 years, I bought him knowing he had heart problems. I was blessed to have him as long as I did, He had an illregular heart beat that after about 4 years no med. lasted more than 4 months regulating. So we decided to just let it be. After his getting in to my 1lb chocholte bar. It messed up his edrenale system so I just treated him with natrual things to make him comfy . But the move upset him so that he started to chew at his tummy . On Thursday I knew it was time as he woke up, and had chewed a open wound on the penal sheath. The vet and I set the Beauul Sat afternoon as his day. It was sunny and peaceful , He was listing to the birds sing and watching the horses fun . ( Country vet with great lawn and trees.)
I really this morning know how much I depended on him , I had an diabetic episode and luckly hubby was here to notice, usually Merlin alerted me to it before it happened. It's going to be hard to make sure I test more often.

Merlin, I bet by now you have met all the RB angels, and you romp and play to your heart's content beside all your new friends. Please watch over your Momma from above, oh how she misses her boy :(. You'll meet again someday, never fear. Momma will never forget you, and holds you dear to her heart for all time.
