I was just wondering what everyone's dogs feel like. Tango is extremely soft, as most long coated dogs are. Tia's kind of inbetween, she's not super coarse but she's not overly soft either. Winston is soft compared to a lot of Dobermans, his chest feels like velvet but the rest of his body is inbetween soft and coarse (to me anyway, as I prefer the feel of a long coat). His is really silky, smooth feeling too. Morgan is also inbetween soft and coarse, her back is pretty coarse but her chest and neck are soft.

Clover has typical Rottweiler and Aussie Cattle Dog fur, it is quite thick and not very soft at all. Elvis has nice soft fur, apart from the fur near his tail which is a little coarser.

Soft, so soft...and shiny...! Whew, I wish I had hair as gorgeous as his fur! I would be making $$ doing shampoo commercials!!
Duncan's hair is liek a golden retrievers or a setters, very soft, shiny, wavy. I love it!:D

Murph and Maddie's was very coarse when they were younger. It felt like petting a bristol brush. But it got very soft over the years, because I trimmed them with scissors vs hand stripping.
Oz and Gull's is somewhat coarse. Their undercoat is extremely soft, but the very top layer of hairs are kind of rough feeling. I think that's to help repel water. I'm assuming the Roughs (which is probably where the name came from) are like that too, just the top layer of hairs are longer.

Sadie's fur is very soft, silky and shiny. It's soft to the touch and very thick, even though she's a short hair dog. Maggie's is very fine and more coarse than Sadie's. Maggie's fur is completely out of control as well, she needs Doggie Fur Gel to keep it down. LOL.

Kirby has very soft fur. especially after a bath. :D
however if hes in need of a bath,, it feels really horrible...
ever petted a sheep before? feels like petting a copper
wire brush or steel wool. *shuders* thats how Kirbys coat feels when he needs a bath.

Molli's is soft if she's had a good grooming. Other wise she's in between. When sam's hair is long he's soft.

Frisk's fur is a bit coarse, though he always gets compliments from strangers on how shiny it looks! :D
Ethan's is soft. Really soft. Its really surprising, because it seems like most shorter-haired dogs have coarse fur.
Skylar, like most huskies, has thick, super-soft fur.
