I did not read your post or poll, so I have no idea what you said. I do know that "declawing" is a highly sensitive topic here on PT and best to just steer clear of the debate!;) I hope you will stick around and share your cats with us.

You certainly have a right,to your opinion.Personally,I would not declaw,but I do nothave expensive furniture,that a Cat,can ruin.Although,the Found Cats,have done a number,on the Lift Chair,that I inherited,from My Dad!Everyone,in a Democracy,has the right,to say,thier opinion,without having to aplogize!

I go both ways on the issue so no apologies needed - everyone has a right to their opinion. I used to be more against it until I got a cat that might have ended up outside if she didn't lay off - that or declaw - which is worse???? Who knows? She was about to get on the big screen TV - has tore up the speakers and the bottom of the big screen and has drawn a lot of blood from hubby and some from me - so who is say that I should let her go or declaw - which is worse??? RIght now we seem to be doing ok so she is safe!! haha But when forced to face an issue head on then you just never know what you would do. I tend to be open minded if possible. I dont' believe in declawing right at first as my other cat has been wonderful but I am open to the issue that in some cases it might be an option. WHo knows... Debbie.
