I was so upset this afternoon, my daughter Melissa went to do her paper run to find that her bike had been stolen, it was not even worth stealing, A small BMX, that she had almost outgrown really, but it was really good on her paper run, and we could not afford to buy a new one at the time, and we still cannot now.
It just sucks that some *bleep bleep* steals a childs bike, luckily I still have the old pram, so we used that, but of course it takes way too long to do the round that way, we have a deadline to meet and in winter, it gets dark early, I don't think it is worth claiming on my insurance because of the excess and loosing my no claim bonus.
I am thankful her friends sister has loaned her a bike, for the holidays and is prepared to sell it to us for 140, it is a good bike, but still don't have that kind of spare money, we might beable to pay it off to them, and Melissa will help with her wages, but it just is not fair that we have to do this, people who steal think it is no big deal, but do they ever realise the impact this has on a family, I was brought to tears, it seems the harder you try in life, the more obstacles are sent your way, my girl gets off her butt to earn money to buy things we cannot give her , and this is the thanks she gets for it.:(
It is odd how one event makes other things seem to happen, the snowball effect, I ended up burning the dinner as well, then I went to go on the computer to write a letter to the paper, and had a disk boot failure, luckily that got fixed obviously, they say things happen in threes, so I hope that is my lot for today.
Sorry for the venting, but I just feel so dis-heartened right now, and despondent, life does suck sometimes, I know it could be a lot worse, so I guess I have to count my blessings really.
Such is life.:(
