What a sweet and funny story! Before I was born, my family had a dog named Boots back in the days when dogs typically were allowed to run loose. Every night Boots would go around the neighborhood and collect any shoes or boots that were just sitting around and bring them home with him. If neighbors were missing shoes or boots, they knew where to look first. I don't have any dogs now, but if I did, they certainly would not be allowed to run free. I think we all know better now!

As someone who does rescue work in Mass., let me begin by saying thank you for all that you do to help assure a happy life for deserving dogs such as Ursula. Though after reading your most touching bio., I'd say it is you who is the truly blessed one!

And yes, we are lucky here in Mass. to have such strict spay and neuter laws as well as strict but compassionate and caring animal control officers to help assure the health and safety of all dogs! We are so thrilled to be able to help find homes for wonderful dogs such as Ursula. Happily for you and for her, she found her forever family right in her own backyard::):):) What a beauty she is and what a personality:) Ursula, you really do have a shoe fettish, don't you?:D

I admit, I am envious of those states that do more to look after pets, both legally and in rescue organizations. I wish every last state had similar programs to reduce the abandoned and surrendered pet population out there. Thank you ever so much for your work and dedication in helping these deserving and wonderful dogs find their forever homes.
