stop going on the patio!!!

housebreaking Gracie is going great, but the only thing we have a problem with is keeping her from going on the patio. everytime she goes out there to eat or play she poops or pees. i don't know how to stop her from doing this. i'm not out there with her to watch her, so when i go get her she's already gone.

how do i get her to stop going on the patio?:confused:

My sisters puppy Mercedes also went potty on their patio the first few days they had her, it was solved by only taking her outside to potty on a leash, after she ate/drank/played/slept. They led her over to the grass in one corner and let her potty there, now she only potties in that corner, which is also easier to clean up! :) it's pretty simple!

I wouldn't be leaving Gracie outside for too long alone, anyway. . puppies can get into a lot of trouble unsupervised ;)

the patio is on the second floor of our apartment. right after i bring her in from going potty she's go pee. i give her PLENTY of time to go potty outside. she just thinks that the best place to go is on the patio. i've stopped putting her on the patio right after i bring her in. she's only out there maybe an hour the whole day. she's with me the rest of the day.
