doggy litterbox?

I have a 2 year old beagle/bassett hound mix and 2 cats. What I've noticed in the past week is that Casey(dog) is going towards the litter box and sniffing around. Then I caught her last night using the litter box! Is this anything anyone has ever heard of? Also she won't ever go outside to go potty. What should I do about this? Just give in and give her her own litter box? Please help!

You said she won't ever go outside to potty so I am just wondering what she would potty on before she started using the litter box? Or did she just stop going out to potty after she started to use the box?

It would be up to you on weather or not to give her own box. If you don't want her to use the box then I would re-potty train her all over again. Which means you may have to deny her access to the cats box.
Or if you don't mind her using a box in the house you can get her one of her own, they do sell bigger ones for dogs.

But one thing I would consider is the future. If there is a chance she will need to be borded or someone has to dog sit for you or if you bring her places often (parks/camping etc...) it would be best to train her to go outside.
