I just finished this poem and thought I would share. I'm so sad we've had so many losses lately. Don't mean to depress anyone but I just felt like doing a poem about them.
You jump into our hearts when we see you on our screens.
Big and little, we love you all.
So that's why many times we fall
in love with a special soul that is shared to us here.
Even though we've never met you or seen you in real life.
You're like one of our own.
We are happy to look back on past photos and see how much you've grown.
When it's time for you to be welcomed at the peaceful rainbow bridge
You leave some special ones behind.
Please know that you were loved
As you look down from above.
There's always room in our hearts for a happy memory.
One that will never leave us until we can be
Joined again one special day.
So cherish every moment for you know not when
your most loved furry soulmate will leave this world.
Every tear that falls is a tribute to you
Our special Pet Talk dogs.

Beautiful poem and a lovely tribute to all of our lost loved ones at PT. Even though we have never met these angels, it feels like one of our very own. Thanks for sharing with us.

I never knew I could get so attached to pets I've never met before.
Beautiful poem.

I feel the same way...I take all the passings hard but I am taking Dale's passing really hard...have been crying all day at work, part of it is because he looks so much like casey to me.

Very touching, Val. It is amazing how we get attached to the dogs others share through these pages! I can think of many. We share their joys, sickness, problems and eventually death.
I believe it is a testament to those who frequent this forum that we can share the love of our furry friends in good and bad. We are bonded together by a common love.

That's a very nice poem Val. I don't find it depressing at all. I think it's just what we needed right now. :)

Oh Val, that is beautiful. And so true. Every precious pup here at Pet Talk becomes a part of our heart. We all feel deeply bereft when one is called to Heaven. Thank you for sharing these beautiful sentiments.

This is very touching, and so true. Thanks for writing it. Even though I've only been on her since February, and I've never met any of them, I'm already attatched to all the lovley pet talk doggies.

*tears* thanks, that was beautiful.
I found PT when a friend posted a memorial to my beautiful Rosie. I couldn't get over the kind words everyone shared, it really touched my heart. Over the past year I have come to love all our PT pets, too. Special doggies.....owned by special people:)

It's the truth, isn't it? I'm still crying over Killian and Dale.
The support and love I got when Cody crossed over was amazing. I still have every single message. Seems like yesterday. I wouldn't have survived without you all.

That was very well done mate. :) Be nice if some enterprising soul on here could put some chords to it.:)

Beautiful poem.. Dale made me very sad too.. I cried after I read it and was bawling all night because it made me think of my dog who's been at the Rainbow Bridge for almost a year. Every single thing about her last week makes me cry everytime I think about her. That poem is comforting, though still brought little tears to my eyes.. it's something we all feel here at PT at one time or another because we get attached and feel like we know them as our own furkids..

Valerie, I just wanted to tell you that this poem was very true. I was far too upset to respond when you first posted it but it's the truth 100%
I feel as if Dale, Killi, and Nilla are one of my own.
