Nebo's tail is hurt

The same thing that happened to Kiara has happened to Nebo. He went to the beach last night and this morning he's walking with his tail down (which he never does) and he cries if I try to lift it. He just pooped and he was able to lift his tail fine for that. He doesn't cry when he sits or anything either. Unfortunately he has to fly home today too. I'm wondering if the tail is sprained or it could be something to do with the saltwater..as he didn't really "swim" but did get in deep enough that water was around his bum area.

I'm home tomorrow and I'm going to take him to work the next day so for now I'm just going to keep a close eye on him. Kiara's diagnosis was just to keep her from playing. If it doesn't get any better soon or seems to get worse he's going to the vet though.

Oh Nebo you poor boy:( I'm so sorry to hear that your tail is hurt now too. Hopefully it will get better fast like Kiara's did...I sure hope so, I wouldn't want you hurting on your way home. That sure wouldn't be any fun:(

Oh Poor Nebo :( I am sorry to hear that he is not feeling well for his flight home. Well, hopefully he will be able to get comfortable and rest his tail. Hope you feel better soon, Nebo.

Before Kay posted about Kiara's tail being hurt, I really had no
idea of all the little bones that make up a dogs tail, or how they
could be injured. I really hope Nebo can rest it during the flight
home.

What is with these dogs and their tails? Sadie hurt hers on Friday, but after a day or two of anti-inflammatories, she was back wagging normal as can be!

Sounds like Limber Tail...Also called Cold Water tail. ;) Poor Nebo. The water is really a bittersweet thing, isn't it?
