Ok, I bet most of you will think I am stupid about asking this question, but what on Earth are Frosty Paws? I see that a lot of dogs in the US are getting them on a special occasion. Can somebody bring me up to speed here? LOL!

Thanks! :)

It's ice cream for dogs that comes in individual servings. :)

Hmm...that could be a problem, then. :p

Perhaps some of your really big grocery stores would carry them. (I don't know which really big grocery stores you have way up there, so I won't name any of them. :D )

Check and see where the nearest Super Walmart is. Those are the ones with the frozen food sections.

My dogs give Frosty Paws 2 paws up!

Suki posted it above. :)

You can make something similar to Frosty Paws. :)

Here's a recipe I found:

1 quart vanilla yogurt
1 medium banana
2 T peanut butter (I use natural style)
2 T honey

Puree the banana in a food processor (a blender would probably work fine). Add the peanut butter and honey and continue processing until smooth. Add yogurt and process just long enough to blend all ingredients together. Place 18 small paper cups (bathroom size) in a baking pan (one 9x13 or two 8x8 work well). Fill paper cups to about 2/3's full. An ice cream scoop or a measuring cup makes the job easier. Freeze until solid. I transfer the frozen treats to zip-lock bags for storing in the freezer.

I don't know how well it works, since I haven't tried it yet. ;)

Here's a recipe for home-made frosty paws taken from the web.

I bought the latest 2 boxes from Winn-Dixie.

Autumn loves them. They sell them from the ice cream truck in our area as well as at walmart.

Yes, it's true, but I usually get Autumn a cherry creamsicle because she loves fruit flavors.

It's not just Wal-mart that sells them.. I haven't seen them at any pet stores, but check regular grocery stores. They sell them at Kroger here.. in the dog aisle. There is a little tiny freezer that is sort of hidden on the shelf. It's probably different for all stores though.

we get them at wal-mart, 4 in a box for 2.48, i think......now we have to have them in the freezer at all times......kevin enjoys watching MAXIMUS eat them more than MAXIMUS enjoys eating them....when you say frosty paws...we have two excited boys...:D
