Wow, what a coincidence that we should have a "Lurcher" as our DOTD! Just yesterday I was talking with a dear friend who introduced me to your beautiful, most special breed!:)

It's hard to imagine, looking at your beautiful photo (model material for sure:)) that you were once nervous, skinny and unloved! You radiate such confidence, good health and beauty and there is no doubt you are one much loved and adored pup! Kudos to your people for going the rescue route, giving such a deserving doggie a paw up in life...and a happy forever home:)

I'm sorry to hear about your accident, Lily! What courage and determination you had to summon to recover from such serious injury! For that incredible feat alone you deserve all our praise and the title Dog of the Day!

Oh Lily, I just had to stop by and post a few words for you when I saw such a beautiful and elegant lurcher girl for today's DOTD! No doubt at all, you're a definite model with your elegant pose and slight, Mona Lisa smile :). Your personality sounds similar to my girl Tasha (also with sighthound lineage), who also loves sprinting and chasing squirrels, but when it's time for a nap, only a nice cozy spot on the sofa or bed will do ;).
