   YUP....chaos reigns lately in my little corner of the world! I must have a tatoo that says "SUCKER" on my forehead, and a billboard on my butt that says "Have Cats? Call Jan"! I've been going like a yo-yo for seems like a week straight fielding cat calls, and trapping, transporting along with taking care of 8 cats for a couple who are away till Tues. Not here, but the drive back and forth 2x a day is tiring. I have a pregnant tabby (I swear this is the Year of the Tabby) in the bathroom, another (bl/wh) crated in the kitchen...I think my next step should be to remove the oven door, and use the racks as a door. Plenty of room...and no worry..I don't have time to cook! :o Dishwasher might work as a holding area too right? No time to do dishes either lol! Luckily hubby's out of town for the weekend...gives me time to get preggo out of the bathroom, and to Larrys, along with a cat & unknown number of kittens I'm getting tomorrow.. Not to mention I trapped 4 cats this AM in pouring rain. There's a spay/neuter clinic (FREE) Sun. AM..can't miss it, but luck has it, I don't have to transport anyway. Is anyone exhaused reading all this? I'm pooped typing it...my eyes are crossed from too much excitement. Can my life be dull for a change..please?

Gee... I seem to remeber not too long ago you were saying that you were at an alltime low with the number of cats in your care. What happened? ;)

It's not called "SPRING" for nothing! Preggos, and mama's & babies are "springing" up everywhere. The all time low was the calm before the storm. Many moved out before Xmas, but alas, baby season's here *sigh*

Thank God,that the Cats,ahve a Lady,like you,to take care,of those Cats,who otherwise,would have no Friends,to watch after them,and a Lady,to help,the helpless! And one Day,at the Rainbow Bridge,you will be rewarded,for all,the work,that you are doing,for these Poor,Stray Cats!

Geez Jan! I can't even keep up with you and all I'm trying to do is read!!!

Of course you know its only going to get worse now that kitten season is upon us. I'm not sure I want to even attempt to read any posts from you for the rest of Spring and Summer! I don't know if I can handle it!;) :D

Wow, what an idea about the oven! You know, that just might work. When you are over run with cats you sure can come up with some amazing ideas.:D I'm not so sure about the diswasher though.;)

Jan you don't talk much about your hubby but he must be a pretty nice animal loving guy. Lord knows you drag enough of them home. Poor guy can't even use the bathroom in peace most of the time!:p :D :D

All kidding aside, you are an amazing woman. I am always in awe of just how much you do and how far you will go to protect the innocent, lonely, lost, and abused animals. Hang in there girl and try to get some rest. You know burn out is right around the corner if you don't take care of yourself. I would say go soak in a hot tub but I guess thats full of cats too!;) :D :D

"Did I ever tell you you're my HERO"

Spring has definitely sprung in your neck of the woods, hasn't it Jan.

I hope you have plenty of help and don't take on more than you can handle. I just can't picture kitties being in an oven or dishwasher. (I know you were just joking, as I am.)

Please be careful out there and take some time for yourself.
You surely need it with all the hard work that you do.

Jan, I certainly know where you are coming from. You know, I quit the rescue thing?   Well, I have taken down my websites, and am no longer actively looking ... but I just received an urgent e-mail chain that had been forwarded and forwarded. So, as of yesterday, hubby and I now have a totally blind 3 year old female cat named Abby. She is here to stay, is there is no way in this world I would make this cat have to move again!

Hang in there, Girlfriend and GOD BLESS!!!
