I'm really down in the dumps.
I'm sad :( because the Pope passed away. The Cardinals will have some BIG sneakers to fill (Pope John Paul II wore sneakers under his robes). I feel like I've lost a family member. :(
Then tonight I get a call from my landlord. He came over to talk to the "HO" in the back apartment. He said when he opened the door to the back hallway, the smell of cat litter hit him smack dab in the face. I explained to him that I had Mattie Grace and her babies in the back room. He said, "Oh Donna, you've gotta quit doing that!!!" I said, "Zeph, please listen to me!!" I told him that I had just changed the litterbox. I assured him that it was a temporary thing, that as soon as the babies were weaned, I'll be finding homes for all of them, and if it weren't for me, those babies would be dead!! He said that he really doesn't care, but he just thought he'd mention the it.
MY cat's boxes are in the middle room, which really shouldn't have any impact on the odor.
I think it's because the room is closed off and the only place for the odor to go is in the back hall. I'm going to try and change her litter to Feline Pine. Right now she has clay litter in her box. My friend Kathy said, "Well, I wouldn't worry about it. He's got a drug dealing HO in his back apartment that has guys going in and out of the place at all hours of the night. The catbox odor is the LEAST of his problems!!!"
While I kinda think she's right, it still doesn't make me feel any better! :(
I'm going to bed!! :(
