I am getting ready to take Katie and Tori to the doggy kennel. Alden and I are going to the NASCAR race in Bristol, TN and since our son is going with us we have to take the girls to a kennel. It is a wonderful facility and not your average kennel and the girl's have been there before for doggy day care. They are familiar with the surroundings and the people who will be taking care of them. I know that the girls will probably miss us but I'm also certain that they will have a blast and be well taken care of. So why do I have this ache in the bottom of my stomach. It is just killing me to take them there and leave them for two nights. I have never had to do this before. Usually its just me and Alden going somewhere and Brandon is home to take care of Katie and Tori. I know my feelings are normal but I can't help but feel stressed and anxious.
Thanks for listening!

Aww Robin. They'll be fine and think of how many kisses you'll get when you pick them up! That's always worth it. :)

I think it is normal. So far I haven't had to kennel Gracie but I did RB Mercedes one time..and she was fine..but you have that separation anxiety just the same.

Well, Katie and Tori were happy as could be when we arrived. They know the place and know that it means fun time. Patty (owner) had all the other dogs in their rooms and Katie and Tori got to run and play in what I call the gym all by themselves. They didn't even notice that I was gone....lol. The house sure does seem quiet right now though. Gosh, I already miss them.
Here is the website of the place they are staying at. It is called Positively Gone To The Dogs. (http://www.gone-2-the-dogs.com/default.htm)

What a wonderful facility Robin! I'm sure the girls are going to be just fine. But I don't blame you one bit for having those mama worries;) Try and have a good time and know your babies are in good hands...and will probably have a blast:D {{{HUGS}}}

Aww :( It is going to be hard dropping them off but I'm sure they will have a great time. It is good that they have been there before and it is a familiar place.
Have fun, and try not to worry about your girls too much ;)

Your girls will have a wonderful time - they have each other! Whenever we go away for a few days, I find myself seeking out strangers dogs to pet them - I guess I need a canine-fix!
Have fun at the races!

I think it's only a natural feeling. Carole struggles to relax at times if we are away for any length of time, so relax, they are well taken care of and enjoy your time.:)

every dogmom needs a vacation now and then. the dogs will have a blast, and you will too. ((hugs))
The place sounds great.
They even have raised beds
for the pups. :)
I certainly can understand your worries.
I think since they will be together they
will be fine and the place does look wonderful.
Have a great time.

The girls are home!!! Yay!
I picked up Katie and Tori about 11:30 today and them seemed quite happy to see me...lol. I got plenty of kisses. They were outside playing when I arrived and seemed to be very happy there. The owner and her husband said they were very good girls. Tori got to play with all the other doggies and was a good girl except I was told that she did find another doggie that she wanted to pick on all the time. It sounded like the same way she pestered Kiara when she was here visiting. Patty(owner) said that the other doggie would chase after Tori nipping at her and Tori seemed to get such a thrill out of the chase. She finally kept those two separated. I asked how Katie did and the first thing of our both Patty and her husband's mouth were "She's such a sweetheart"...lol. I love hearing that! She was kept separate from the other doggies during playtime and her and Tori got to have lots of outside playtime. The husband said he found out that Katie like to play ball. I love that the employees spend so much time with the dogs. The girls didn't seem to be overly joyed to be home. They ran in drank a bunch of water, went out to potty and came back in and have been asleep the rest of the time. They must be really wore out....lol. Thanks for all the support everyone and for listening to me ramble on!
Oh Mark....at this point all I can say is....  ...LOL :p
Here is what the girls are doing right now! I have a feeling they won't move for awile....lol

Isn't she a funny one....lol. She was sleeping so peacefully too. Like a little baby. I just wanted to pick her up and rock her.
I just wanted to add that they have now moved outside to the back patio and are sound asleep out there now...lol

What a wonderful facility Robin, talk about luxury all the way, and why not only the best is what they deserve, I know exactly how you feel, I have avoided going away for two years now, that is how long I have owned Lexie, because I don't want to leave her, I know Ash will be ok, but she would be scared and pine for me, it is something I will have to do oneday, but I am dreading it.:(
