Harmanie has a soar on her leg. She has licked a patch of furr right off. On a humans skin it looks like poison ivy. I had told my mom that we need to take her to the vet ASAP! But she just said to put peroxide on it and ointment over it. Then she wont lick it. But Harmanie did anyway. So you'll never guess what my mom did. SHE DRESSED HER IN BABY PAJAMAS! So now she can't lick her leg. Not only can she not lick her leg but she can't walk in the outfit ether. I am so mad at my mom for denying me for letting Harmanie go to the vet. I clean Harmanies wound everyday. And I have to dress her in the baby cloths! So Harmanie gets mad at me. I hate it!!!! The wound is not as red but the three irritated bumps are still there. They look like poison ivy on human skin, but I don't think thats what it would look like on her because
1. she hasn't been out side
and 2. poison ivy hasn't grown in yet.
I'm so worried for her. SOME ONE PLEASE GIVE ME ADVICE!!

It could be ringworm which is highly contagious to other animals AND humans! Maybe if you tell your mother THAT, she'll smarten up and take Harmanie to the vet like she should!

Well it was ring worm, and my mom found that out. BUT, its not my fault that shes not going. My mom said that there is this cream Harmanie can use. So shes STILL not taking her. I keep telling her to bring her, But she said shes not paying for a bill for something she allready knows what it is. I would NEVER put my cat through this. I would bring her right away. I just don't want any one on pt to think that I am neglecting Harmanie. I'm only asking for advice, seeing how my mom isn't helping.

Being dependent on someone else (your mother) is hard, Harmanie, and I'm sorry. I hope that the medication you guys are using will help to clear up the ringworm. You need to be very careful that you don't get it yourself. One day, you will be on your own and you will be able to make the right decisions regarding your pet's care. I'm so sorry that your mother is not more helpful to you.
:( Makes me sad for you and the kitty.

awww thanks. Ya, I think I might be immuned to it because she sleeps with me every night. However, my sister has it. My dad says that some people just don't catch it. Well, I won't be dependant on her for ever.
I hope harmanie gets better to.:)

I had a kitten who had it on her ears. I kept her isolated for 3 months till it cleared up. I used Myconizol cream on it 3 times a day. It can be purchased over the counter at any drug store. Ask the pharmacist.
Good luck and be careful!! Wash your hands every single time you handle her.
