The shelter states he's a border collie mix -- wonder if there's some Australian shepherd or ?? Thoughts from any of you experts? He's got a lovely look about him and we're still considering a second rescue...
Thanks so much!

I see Australian cattle dog and maybe some shepherd or collie. Something about his back legs doesn't look right, but maybe thats just the picture.

I see Australian Cattle Dog too, with those markings on his legs and the Bently Mark on his head. The other would probably have to be BC.

A wagging tail and hope in his eyes mean more than any breed mix!
I agree with the Aussie or Heeler in his mix, but pure love is what he looks to be!

Thanks, guys! I agree, he is so appealing "just because!" He's really a sweetie in both expression and physique. :)
As an aside, I admit I've begun enjoying trying to figure out dog breeds I see, I'm even doing it when I watch tv and see commercials come on that have doggies in them!

He's a cutie thats for sure.
I see Australian Cattle dog & Husky. Or maybe Shep. , some larger breed because his legs are kind of big-boned.

I do too. Here is a site that will help you become familiar with a lot of breeds. People are impressed when you are able to ID their not-so-common breed when everyone else has no clue. Once you are familiar with the purebreeds, you'll better be able to ID mixes.
