**cough cough** **sniff sniff** **blow blow** **sneeze sneeze**
OK, I'm home from work sick with the world's worst code in da nooze and can't wait for da bar to open....so I guess I'll do it myself.
Can't really think of a theme right now or a DOTD. Maybe we could just list our most memorable experiences at Thursday's. I think the best one for me was the field trip....now where did we go again?? Was it Connie's place? Oh dear, either my memory is failing or it's all the drugs I'm taking.
A shot of brandy otta do the trick. Richard, you've got to figure out what to do with that monitor. Can you request to move your desk? You must really be going into withdrawal about now. ;)
I'm going into the back to grab the ladder to put up these "100" ballons and streamers. Mario, want to come and help me? We are also celebrating a very special birthday too...our very own Karen (Wolflady). ;) So we've got to dress this place up to the max.

Oh phooey Slick, you shouldn't be working in your weakened, druggy situation. Mario & I can decorate and I'll send "Mr Slick" with the modified, hot bod over with a brandy ;) :p While I'm behind the bar I'm going to fix a STRONG martini for Cheryl (E-theSpoiled). We just got back from having lunch together and trust me on this... she needs more than one I think. Job frustrations are the rage around here lately aren't they :( BUT, it's Karen's birthday and no moping aloud! So take some more drugs Slick and here Cheryl, put on a party hat and help Mario tie up the Centennial Banner!
edit * goofy me, I spelled allowed as "aloud". Well no moping aloud OR quietly :D

Laurie, I'm here to give you a hand. (how about TWO hands?) Let me get some coffee brewing and I'll you two decorate and/or clean this place!

Hi everyone,
Happy 100 Thursdays...
Is that like a "month of Sundays"?????
I still have not found a way to get away from Big Brother yet....so I'll open the festivities and invite you all
to have some cherry Coke, cherry cake and cherry ice cream.......
Yes Mario...It's all about you!!;) :D .
SLICK,
I have the same cold......5 days now.........
Withdrawls........cold turkey is more like it!

Oh goody, a party!! Happy B-day Karen. I'll have a Raspberry Martini please.

Is that 100 helium balloons? No, Mario, don't put that in your mouth! Oh no! His little voice has gone up several octaves! He really was just trying to help!
I'll take a CNT, shaken, not stirred.
Perhaps we could come up with some Thursday-appropriate drink with Nyquil? Flaming Nyquil shots?
slick
03-30-2005, 02:09 PM
Cheryl - srong martini - DONE! Nice to see you here. Dang you Laurie...the next time you get together give her a hug from me. :)
Richard - there's plenty of kleenex behind the bar. Help yourself and tell Big Brother that you've got to get your priorities straight. Maybe we can practice synchronized sneezing....a new olympic event.
David - no problem. Just sit down and relax. Mario and I've got all the streamers and balloons up. You just keep an eye on that coffee. I'll whip up some Bailey's.
RedHedd - CNT shaken not stirred - DONE! Flaming Nyquil shots? :D Too funny...but it would probably work...just wake me up tomorrow.
PC - Raspberry martini - DONE!
No Mario, you can't use your hands to eat the ice cream.....

The most memorable Thursday moments? gee, where to I start...
For me it is when I see something outside of "Thursdays" that takes me back here.
A jar of cherries at the grocery store.
A Haz-mat sign.
Onion-rings.
finishing a task at work and saying to myself "DONE"
I could go on and on but I think you get the idea.
Most of all, that I feel like you are all really my friends, not just people at the other end of a keyboard out there somewhere.
:D :D :D :D

Hey everybody! Looks like this week life is a bowl of cherries! I love cherry cake and cherry ice cream with the little chunks of cherry in it....cherry coke....not so much...just regular coke will do for me. :)
Slick, watch out! <grabs Slick's hair back from her face> you have to be careful when you're bending over those flaming nyquil shots! Can't have a singed and frazzled cousing ITT on our hands!
Since being in the dumps is not aloud this week, I'll just quietly take my 5 pitchers of red slushies over in the corner and mope for awhile. Maybe all the festive decorations will cheer me up. :)

If the decorations don't cheer you up, just listen to Mario try to sing "Happy Birthday" after sucking on a helium baloon :D :D :D

  OMD....is this what we've got to look forward to in July?? Gini, we'd better set the tent up in the back yard beside the sandbox and the petting zoo....
<grabs Slick's hair back from her face>
Thanks Debbie. Whew! Only a priviledged few get to touch my hair....;)
Regular coke - DONE!
OK, since this is a partee, I've got some partee appies here. There's one party tray of deli meat, another one with cheezes, pickles, olives, etc., and the third one has sliced veggies. Just strut up the "sandwich bar" and help yourself to the freshly baked coissants and buns. Condiments are on the bar.

I've found the perfect drink for us! It's a banana split one.
Happy 100 Thursdays! Everyone enjoy. I'm celebrating learning a tiny bit more of Photoshop thanks to tomkatzid. I love my new sig.
Banana Split recipe
1 shot banana liqueur
1 shot Kahlua® coffee liqueur
half-and-half
fill with pineapple juice
cherries
Method
Combine ingredients, shake, and pour over ice. Garnish with cherries.
And Mario, we have cherries so you can have more than one in your drink.

03-30-2005, 03:02 PM
Wowie Zowie Val! That sounds positively decadent! I think you have just become Marios buddy de' jour with that combo *I was going to say "bosom buddy" but didn't want to have to go stand in the corner * ;)

Oh, Oh, Mario is airborne with helium balloon power! DUCK!
Mario whizes over heads laughing: Hee! Hee! Hee! Whee!
I need a big cherry vanilla coke and 4 cat nip teas, and of course onion rings, please?
Slick, here's a fresh box of tissues with lotion in them for your sore nose!:D

Oh thanks, Dukedogsmom! Now I can't get the Banana Splits song out of my head! I'd better take one of those drinks while I'm here please.
Whose idea was it that taxes should be deducted from our hard earned money - and then we have to write it all down and tell them about it - and let them decide if we did it right or not, or if we gave enough?
Oh, well, I would be out of a job if taxes didn't exist.
Slick, here I am...........as I barge into the bar..........a banana split??? ----- that sure sounds like Mario had something to do with that choice!
Welcome to everyone on this 100th Thursday! My favorite?
Have there been any that haven't been fun? I think that we should just celebrate the fact that we have never been kicked out of the Dog House by our Mayor!!
A raspberry martini? Hmmm, how do you make those? They sure sound good.
Gotta run - just too dern much to do today.

Ok I'm late thanks to work and the good deed I did on the way home. I made a little old (70)man and his 8 month Visla.
The dog had gotten away from him and was standing like a deer in the headlights in the middle of the right hand lane. 3 of us stopped Tehy each had dogs in their cars so she ran from them . We finally caught her she had a chain and a long rope dragging no tags. 2 of us were about to walk to the bar (nasty bikers bar) To see if she had jumped out of a truck. When this little old man came running calling her Sophie and tears down his face. He has been bird watching and training her . He has only had her amonth, she had been beaten by a man before so she was a little leery of him. But you could tell she was his. He asled what he could do to thank us , we just said to love her. She was so sweet,I was going to have to bring here home and take her to the police station they have a kennel for pups until the animal control could pick up. It would have been hard to do that, I might have ended up with a dog. (4no way)
She was Visla and coyote ,something spooked her in the woods and he had tracked her about a mile.
Richard was that cold turkey or wild turkey?:D
I need a DLC please.

Thanks I'm so sore we had to move the new display fixtures in the store today and move the old ones out. Some were built in the store (in1930) so they had to n be dismantled told the boss just call us the West Glacier wrecking crew. Shoulders hurt and hands from the screw driver(yes we both forgot out power drivers)( no comments from the peanut gallery you either Mario.) We are almost ahead of our plan that the boss is taking me to lunch. Next week the rest of the staff starts, its been me and the boss this week.
If any one wants a great summer job we still need 9 people in our location. go to west Glacier.com and send an e-mail . You would love it .
How about another DLC before i head off to bed.

I heard this funny thing yesterday and while I don't remember all of it, I remember the punchline...
things that should never go together include...
A pierced tongue and dentures.
Midriff top and a midriff roll.
Spiked balding grey hair.
(gosh, there were a few more but of course with my failing mind I don't recall them).
but I do remember the #1 thing that should never go together...

Richard! Just got this in an email and immediately thought of you. :D
Today (3/31) is the official Slap Your Irritating Co-workers Holiday:
Do you have a co-worker who talks nonstop about nothing, working your last nerve with tedious and boring details that you don't give a damn about?
Do you have a co-worker who ALWAYS screws up stuff creating MORE work for you?
Do you have a co-worker who kisses so much booty, you can look in their mouth and see what your boss had for lunch?
Do you have a co-worker who is SOOO obnoxious, when he/she enters a room, everyone else clears it?
Well, on behalf of Ike Turner, I am so very very glad to officially
announce today as SLAP YOUR IRRITATING CO-WORKER DAY!
There are the rules you must follow:
* You can only slap one person per hour - no more.
* You can slap the same person again if they irritate you again in the same day.
* You are allowed to hold someone down as other co-workers take their turns slapping the irritant.
* No weapons are allowed...other than going upside somebody's head with a stapler or a hole-puncher.
* CURSING IS MANDATORY! After you have slapped the recipient, your "assault" must be followed with something like "cause I'm sick of your stupid-a$$ always messing up stuff!"
* If questioned by a supervisor [or police, if the supervisor is the
irritant], you are allowed to LIE, LIE, LIE!
Now, study the rules, break out your list of folks that you want to slap the living day lights out of and get to slapping.....and have a great day...
:D
slick

My eight year old guy, Sidney, had a small chunk missing from an incident a few years back. Then a couple of weeks ago he and Strauss (the new guy, who looks a lot like today's COTD), had it out in the backyard. Now Sid is missing a small part of the other ear. It was quite the bloody site at first but has healed up now and he's ok. :)

Wait, Slick! Don't leave, who's going to make the Bailey's? And I think your slushies are better than Richard's slushies! Here, here, let me make up a new pitcher and let's us go sit by the fire for awhile. We have to enjoy it while we can. Pretty soon it's going to be all dusty and dirty around here from when they tear out the walls and put the new patio on with the fire pit so we can sit outside......but for now, the good ol' overstuffed couch by the fire sounds good.

OK people - I know we're not half the bartenders that Richard is - but lets see what we can do here -
T&P - if by "Mexican" you mean Latino and if by Latino you mean Jimmy Smits - then I'll join you.
KK - glad you're enjoying the slap-fest. I'm sure all of us have a co-worker or two that qualifies.
WF - yesterday they were doing flaming Nyquil shooters - but if you want to stay awake I could just pour some Dayquil in the Baileys. Done.
ETS - one shaken one stirred - done.
David - wasn't Lumpy a friend of Wally's? Rings and tea. Done.
Moff - so sorry you felt indivisible - Mario blew up so many balloons that you just kind of blended in to the background.
If I've missed anyone's order - please use the complimentary megaphone and yell it out.
Vickie - you've worked so hard today - put your feet up. I hear that Mario is great with a foot-massage. - as long has he hasn't been near the bean dip.

Vickie - you've worked so hard today - put your feet up. I hear that Mario is great with a foot-massage. - as long has he hasn't been near the bean dip. Yep, he sure was a friend of Wally's! But it now describes my poor oldsmobile!!

OK people - I know we're not half the bartenders that Richard is - but lets see what we can do here -
T&P - if by "Mexican" you mean Latino and if by Latino you mean Jimmy Smits - then I'll join you.
Since Johhny Cochran has passed someone has to play the race card!!!;)

Well i'm back what a day! I thought my daughter might have a bad day as it was supposed to be the due date of the grandson we lost in Sept. But sume force helped out. Roger her hubby found a sack by the road today wiggling around. Inside were some very small pups 3 were dead 1 was still alive so she got a baby any way. and they buried the other pups. Belle now has 4 kitty siblings. Clarissa says the pup looks lab and boxer I'll know more when they come tomorrow and bring it. They are getting merlins old crate for her. It must be our week for rescueing pets.
I'll take a DLC please.

Sleep well all. Have gentle dreams. And Mario, enough with the giggles. Silly boy.

Woohoo, Another end of the working week. Used way to much of my brain this week. Profit & loss reports, staff with attitude, bungling suppliers..............I could go on, but I've truly had enough. I NEED BOOZE, and lots of it.:D Better grab a double, no wait. Maybe a shot of scotch, and perhaps a bucket or two of the slushies will do the trick.:)
I really could have known about "slap your co-worker day". *sighs* had so many lost oppurtunitys.:(

Corinna, Terry and I would *love* to come fill those 9 vacancies you have left! Sounds like fun, and not to get too personal....but about how much would *we* make? I wouldn't expect to get as much as you since you're obviously a valued return employee, but on average, how much does a summer employee make, and what is the schedule - like we'd have to be there around the 1st of April and leave at what....the end of September? And also, is it like from 8:00 am until 7:00 pm 7 days a week? Is there still snow on the ground there? I know, I know, so many questions... Unfortunately there's no way we can do it this year because we still have our "real" work we have to do, but maybe in a few years - after we go full-time in the motorhome.... Glacier National Park is on our "must see" list and if we could earn some money while we're there...well....all that much better! :D
'Morning everybody! I see the slushie maker is going full force already for Connie's cherry slushies, but I'll stick with my usual (coke with ice in a....oh, you guys know it all already ;) ).
I already screwed up today and the boss is irked at me so that means the day can only get better- right?
Hey all you sleepy heads on the couch - wake up! It's a beautiful day in paradise and it sounds like we've got more birthdays to celebrate!
How about a good old fashioned breakfast - bacon, eggs, pancakes, sausages, hash browns, cinnamon rolls, juice, coffee...I can even order up a few omelets if anyone is interested?
As they say in the Marines - GET UP YOU PUKES! GET UP, GET UP, GET UP!!!!
:D

Gotta go into another meeting in a few minutes so just checking in. Sorry, can't do bartending duties today so I guess the bar is a "free for all". Help yourselves.
Connie, I see you got your "cheery" slushies. Enjoy!
Gini, I think David's car may need a "push up" bra.....
Moff, we have been teasing David about his car requiring a new front end "bra" - but the accident was not funny. He is very fortunate, and all of us are happy he is alright.

What accident?:D Connie, two weeks ago sunday I was in a car accident. I couldn't stop in time and slid under the bumper of an SUV! Nobody was hurt, but my poor car got the worst of it. It's going to be repaired with 2,084 $ worth of damage. Hardly anything happened to the SUV. So now my car is going to look like new!
