Hello all
I have not posted for a few days, me and my partner have been doing a bit of DIY. We have been knocking walls down and re-building and then fitting a new bathroom suite, tiling etc. Our en-suite looks great now, it was well worth the effort, but I am very tired now.
I am enjoying catching up on everybodys news and looking at all the new pictures. Inspired by you all on here, I have contacted my local cat shelter and decided to help them out one day a week. Cleaning out the cat pens and giving them cuddles etc. I cannot wait to start, i am just waiting for a call to speak with the lady who runs it, to arrange a meeting.
My baby Sooty is still with us, she is still battling her cancer. Although she is starting to not eat much and she still has a sore on her face where she has been scratching her growth. I fear that it won't be long now until I have to say goodbye :( But having said that one day she has a bad day, where she is quiet and does not do much, then other days she will be playing and purring as normal. I will continue to keep an eye on her.
Bugs is still Bugs, eating plenty and sleeping plenty. I have recently bought some Feliway diffusers and since I have plugged them in she has been much more affectionate. She even jumps on the sofa next to me for a cuddle, which is unheard of for Bugs. It's real nice to get a cuddle from her.
And Twinkle is still a playful mischevious little kitten. She keeps me entertained and always makes me laugh. She is still in to her washing up scourers and will not leave them by the sink, she loves to run round the house with them in her mouth. She helped out a little with the DIY, which I thought was funny, she was pinching screws and running off with them. Don't think my partner was too impressed, mind you he was just concerned that she may choke on them so we had to confine her to another room.
Sooty and Bugs, have been outside this weekend. They have a run in the garden which we built last year. It has a shelf for them to lie on and a big hollow tree stump that they can play on, and a catflap into a dry carpeted area (in case they get cold!). They are just content watching the birds, Twinkle also had her first experience of being outdoors too. Although she did not go in the pen with the others, as she picks on Sooty constantly. We put her in a cage right next to the run, she was not too impressed really, she meowed every time she saw you, so I got her in and she had free run of the house instead.
Anyway, have found some photos, they are not new ones but wanted to share.
Heres Bugs, no wanting us to go on hols!
