When I brought her home on Friday, the vet told me to keep her calm and relaxed. He then laughed and said we have been trying to keep her calm all day today. She doesn't like being in a cage and she wont stop crying. I started laughing and said yep that's my girl. :D So they went and got her for me and I could hear her crying while they were walking to me. As soon as she could see me she shut right up. I told her that she was a good girl and that she will get some treats when she gets home. She started purring of course. :D

The vet also told me that she is a lot older than what I was told. She has turned from 3 years old to 6 or 7 years old over night. Next year they want her to go in for a good teeth cleaning as well.

As soon as I got her home Friday I put her on the little bed I made for her. So of course that wasn't good enough so she went under the bed. She decided to ignore me for a while until I told her it was all my husbands fault. ;) I told her he paid for it, he made me make the appointment and didn't like the heat crying every other week and so on. I was trying any thing for her to let me pet her. She has been jumping on and off the bed, and she has slapped Cubby a few times. She wants to have her belly petted but I try not to because I don't want to pet her and hurt her. Last night she slept on my side of the bed on a blanket that is on the side of the bed just incase I have to share blankets with the dog. She slept there all night. Ever time I rolled over she would cry letting me know she was still there.

The naked area is nice and light pink, and she makes sure the area is clean. With out over cleaning her self.

Now she has a question for Buddy. Is she now to old for you? She wouldn't want you to leave her because she has doubled in age. :(

Thanks for the update on Rachel! Sounds like she is already attached to her new meowmmy, nothing like being saved from the whitecoats to make a girl appreciate her Home Sweet Home!!! I'm happy that her spay went well, and she is taking good care of her incision! Give her gentle belly rubs from me too!

Kim:)

We are pleased,that Rachel,is better,and that she is getting backto normal.Her story sounds like Rehomed Stary Franklin,that we thought,was about 2,or 3,and turned out,to be closer,to 10.And the Animal Welfare,had a big Dental Bill,too,even,with thier discount.Good Luck,with Rachel,from The Found Cats,and Feeder.

So glad to hear that Rachel is now home and that the surgery is OVER!
I bet it felt good to see proof of how she is attached to you - her Meowmie!! Also - good move blaming the surgery on hubby and technically very true too;) I am glad that Rachel agreed.:D

((((HUGS))) to Katie!

Oh Rachel, Your age means nothing to me. I am just glad that you are feeling ok and that you are recovering well. My meowmie is in BIG trouble. She still has not sent out your get well soon package! She has been trying to get a job (which she did get a vet assistant job today!) and moving to a new house, and just has not had the time. BUT she did get you a few presents to go with your card, just because she knew I wanted to show you I care;) I hope that you enjoy them. She will be sending them out as soon as she can, the post office is hard to work with her hours, but she PROMISED me she would do it this week.
I hope you feel better my beautiful angel, and dont fret! I love you no matter what, and you hide your age well. Best looking 7 year old kitty I have ever seen:D
Get well soon beautiful, and I look forward to talking to you very soon:D:D:D I love you and take care of yourself! I miss you.

Love always, Your Buddy boy;)

Awww Buddy your so sweet! Give your mom a BIG way to go for me. She gets to work at a vets office and see kitties all day. Will you make sure to tell your mom she didn't have to do all of this for me? Please! My meowmie just told me today that I need to work on my figure. She says I need to gain a few pounds. That now I look like I have been starved. I told her that I am trying to stay thin just for you. Because I don't want to look like Cubby. My mom just admitted that he is a little on the chunky side and now she says she is in a 12 step program to help her recover from her admitting that he baby boy is plush. LOL. She is so silly some times. My mom also said that she is going to go get me some tuna tomorrow, so I plan on saving some just for you my love.

Well I am tired now so I must go to bed for the night.

Love, Rachel
