Boy, I post so many dumb, pointless threads but.......

WHAT IS YOUR FAVORITE RESTERAUNT???

Mine is probably Bob Evan's, I love breakfast foods like bacon, pancakes and scrambled eggs!

What's yours?

I have mentioned mine before, it is a buffet restaurant called Valentines, put on a lovely spread for 12.95, for breakfast, 17.95 for lunch and 26.95 for dinner, the lunch and dinner you would hardly notice a difference, Breakfast is only available on Sundays, we went recently for Valentines Day, and it was great, so much variety.:)

The desset bar is so yummy.:D

I can't go past my own kitchen, however, if you happen to be in Penang, Malaysia, there's a little cafe there called the craven A. It does a curry sauce to die for.:) There's also an up market restaurant there called Eden.

Torrii's. It's a Japanese resturaunt where the chefs cook it right there and do all kinds of tricks. You sit with all kinds of people on a U shaped table, so you get to meet new people. They also have karoke and a bar there.

Emeril's!! I have been to three so far, His Fish House at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Emiler's Orlando at Universal and Choup Chop (also in Orlando). Those three are tired for first, and I think my second favorite is Fulton's Crab Shack (another Orlando restaraunt)

Afraid of the menu? Why? I can understand being afraid of eating too much (always do!), or spending too much (but hey, it isn't somewhere you can go everyday), but have no fear of the food!!!

These are from The Tchoup Chop in Orlando

I had prepared him for the cost, so that wasn't a big deal. We got up to the front of the restaurant and he couldnt recognize half of what was on the menu, so we had to leave.

We ended up eating at the Rainforest Cafe, so it was ok, I guess. I mean where else can you eat with an elephant standing next to you. ;)

I couldn't get him to go into Bobby Flay's restaurant (Mesa Grill) either...for the same reason. :(

I think the best restaurant in the world (in my opinion) is in a little town called Dundurn not far out of Saskatoon. It is a South African restaurant, and if you want to try it, be prepared: Supper is a five hour ordeal (no kidding). If you pick the one thing on the menu, you get a pick of three different appies, two main courses and three desserts, as well as soup and salad, all brought seperately with enought time between each for lots of conversation (and wine!). Awesome, awesome place!

Cincy's Mom,

My daughter and I went to Fulton's Crab House in Orlando years ago. I almost fell over when I got the bill!! For two people, including an appetizer (no drinks) it cost me over $90!!!!! But the food was good.

My all time favorite restaurant is the 1923 Smoke House! They have a "family style" salad that is to DIE for!!! Expensive but well worth it!

Next favorite restaurant is Outback. Their chocolate caramel ice cream dessert is sinful!!

My favorite is Cracker Barrel as it is food like I grew up on - love the okra and meatloaf!! I think I could eat anything from the breakfast menu.

I have been wanting to try a Joe's Crab Shack - having heard about it quite a few times in the past year. I don't *think* we have one in Dayton...better go look!!

I ate at a really good restaurant that I hadn't heard of before. It was when I was in Ohio with Anna and Robin. Had a wonderful steak there. Here's the pic

My favorites are all Tex-Mex.

Mamasitas - Fajitas to die for. They make the tortillas there fresh.

Gringos - love their Chalupas

Taqueria - wonderful Tostados

El Palenque - lil' hole in the wall place that has great tex-mex food. Chili Relleno. Mmmmmmm...

I've found over the years, if you want really good tex-mex, never venture outside of Texas and never eat at a big chain.

I sorta of thought that was the reason...youjust have to look for the words you recognize...filet minion, chicken, etc, and trust Emerils onthe rest :D

It is easy to spend a lot there...we've had bills close to $200 for 2 of us, with appetizers, dinner, dessert and drinks...that is why it is a once (or twice) a year thing! We figure two of us could go through that much in two days ath the parks juston pop and water and hot dogs and stuff...might as well eat to enjoy!!
