I decided it best that mom who surprised me with four babies yesterday should nurse all her kittens, so they benefited from important colostrum. ;) I removed the two from upstairs mom, and plunked them in with their birth mom. Hours later I was holding upstairs mom's wee ones, and thought it odd that all but one had lost the umbical cord. OOOPS! Downstairs to check that litter, and sure enough all hers BUT one had umbilical cords! It also dawned on me that the one downstairs was double pawed...tiny mix up, but all's been settled now. One kitten from each mom's litter is an almost identical twin in the face...both redpatch tabbies! The paws and the cords, or lack of them was what settled that. ;) :D I'm stocking up on batteries tomorrow I hope. This old camera eats them.
